First post says that SAF isn't working together with PowerDVD. Is there a solution to watching BR/HD-DVD (discs, not isos) if I install/use SAF, instead of MPC Vid dec, ffdshow, ac3filter and haali?

Please, export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\MediaPortal from registry and post it here.

Then i will be able to modify SAF to fix this issue.

Hm, your VersioBuild entry is empty and i am asking someone from MP Team - why?

This is why MP was not detected... Write in to VersionBuild your build number. This will fix yout SAF install process.

Done! Which would you recommend? And will I then get HW-decoding?

Also, is HW-decoding better than SW in terms of quality? Should I enable deinterlacing somewhere, and will this lead to better quality?

edit: Here I can download an "Avivo™ Package". Will this be any good for anything?

On HD3200 Catalyst 8.5 are good choice, all DXVA modes working correctly. It is writen in SAF instalation, you didnt read it? :/
