Hi I have update mediaportal to 1.0.1 and installed SAF348 and experience some problems now with the mpc codec.
A lot of videos won't play properly when using mpc as h.264 codec, i get a pop up telling video: avc audio: dts for example.

If i choose divx h.264 codec in mediaportal configuration all these files play fine, strange thing is though that when i try to play the same files
outside mediaportal all files play perfectly using the same mpc codec (even in crappy windows media player), i checked using graphedit that is was using mpc as a codec.
Anyone knows a solution for this?

Do not use SAF 3.48, use older 3.47 - standalone MPC-HC filter have some problem in h.264 software decoding.

I have install 3.47 and still the same problems with h264. Divx and Xvid work fine with mpc codec (i've enabled those 2 in codec configuration using graphedit because i have best results with divx and xvid with mpc codec).
h264 works fine with both divx h264 and coreavc codecs.
MPC fails on every h264 (mkv) file!

Please try to play them in MPC-HC player, or post small video example.

AC3 filter as a Postprocessing

I have read that adding any postprocesing Filter killed the Hardware aceleration, but i had problems with some DTS tracks, so i had to add it, but the CPU usage is still below 10%, so i still have HW acele.

Movies are ok, but i am having some problems with TV live.

-Some DVB-T channels are showed and some times are not, but there is sound.
-the TV live image is not so good as it used to be with another cocec config, it´s like it was an analogue signal, too much pixeled and the motion it´s not so smooth.
- I have Aereo Theme On, i didn´t notice anything better.
-When i set the Vsync On in to the ATI CCC, my secondary lcd on case (Zalman HD160xt Plus), starts flashing so i have to get the Vsync off.
-When runing MediaPortal, and the TV live On with the menu on the left side and the small picture on the corner, all the screen is like flasing every 3-4 second, but this fenomenon stop when i set the picture to full screen. I dont´know if it´s something with the driver or the codec or the refresh rate.

My Plasma only support 50 or 100 Hz, I have it to 50Hz.
and the lcd touchscreen is set to 60 hz, (i dont´know íf it,s a matter).


I´ll post the logs as soon i can.

Also i´ll try to update to the lastest ATI driver.

The files play just fine in mpc-hc player. Even in Windows mediaplayer the files work without a problem using the mpc codec.
I do have this problem with every mkv file i have. For testing I downloaded some demo files in .ts format and these are working fine. Also .mov files work.
So maybe it is a splitter problem?

Yes, it can be MKV splitter.
Didn't you have some other splitter installed from some other software? Like nero, etc?
So MKV files are forced to be splitted by this spitter instead of Haali one.
Some peole have such problem with MP4 video files, after rename to MKV, file start to work.

BTW - LOGs can be handy here.

As far as i know on Windows Vista you must copy to system32 folder and register with regsvr32 proppage.dll
I did like this and I got MONOGRAM GraphStudio working but without Connect to remote graph.
Any help ?

three doubts:

1º ) In the first pages, in MP config (MPA decoder is set "Decoder to Speaker Stereo", (but if I am using an Amp, i should set it to SPDIF?), Please confirm this part.

2º) In MP config, Video Player (Do I have to select AC3 Filter as a MPEG /AC3 Audio Decoder or Do I leave it as MPC -MPA Decoder Filter?

3º) Once i add the AC3 Filter to the Video PostProcessing, Do I have to check it also or just Added?

Ok, I tested this last night. I don't have spdif selected in MPA but in my sound card drivers I have spdif selected and it indeed is outputting spdif properly. Either way you select it, DTS DOESNT work properly with MPA, only with AC3filter either selected in MP or added as postprocessor. If you select AC3filter in MP config then you need to go into AC3filter config and check the AC3 and DTS boxes (I used to check MPEG too). If you add AC3filter as a post processor you just select DTS box, then MPA will do all audio formats but AC3filter will intercept DTS. If you choose to use AC3filter for the DTS processing make sure you check the DTS box in AC3filter config and select Auto for the DTS padding.

You can put the file anywhere, then open up a command prompt, go into that folder using the cd (change directory) command, then type regsvr32 proppage.dll and press enter. That should register the file.

This is incorrect, only VIDEO postprocessing will kill DXVA. Audio post processing doesn't interfere with the video stream so all is well!

no achieve to register proppage.dll

Sorry for the offtopic, but i am still have problems registering the file.

Copy the proppage.dll to the c/:Windows/system32/

Run from that path: "regsvr32 proppage.dll"

but i get a error message saying:

module load "proppage.dll" but cause an call error to DLLRegisterServer (error code 0x80070005).

I am runig as Administrador.

Any idea? thanks
