Ok Thank you, I will wait for Mr. hoborg answer (hope so). About relases i found them but it does not say "SAF v4.00RC1" it sais saf400beta20test1.exe, thats it right?. Still not clear about Cyberlink codec...

Hi, I just installed SAF and a few other packs. most onlinevideo now work, at least the ones I am interessed in. But I have one big problem wit the apple trailers:

for some reason there are no vocies in a lot of the HD videos (if any, then just with environmental effects). I tested the same treiler via an external playerr and it works fine. first I thought that maybe media portal thinks I have a 5.1 setup or something and is trying to run the channel with the voices through a speaker that I don't have. I have a simple stereo setup. I didn't have this problem before SAF, so something happend. But I can't seem to find anything about speaker setup in the mediaportal config.

can anyone help me out?

Did you add FFShow audio decoder to MP postprocessing?

one other thing, some sites still aren't working, mainly CNN, it gives me that audio codec error? anything else I canto try?

I've installed CCCP, quicktime_directshow_source_filter, MatroskaSplitter and also the flvsplitter?

I take that back, the CNN clips work, don't know what I did. but now all the online videos work now.

now I just have to get the wwitv plgin to work. I get the same error there: unable to play flv ... audio codec.

Man, what a mess... All you need to install is unlocked SAF+haali.

I followed the instructions as per the first page and the setup. As for the unlocked thing, no idea what it is or how I can unlock the locked version.

well to be honest I didn't. And to be honest, I didn't feel that I had to, since the installation told me to install cccp and the haali splitter, for example. Something which I had been using for years anyway . as for the quicktime and flv splitters and filters: I had a few problems, I looked through the thread and saw mention to those things, and the problems started to disapear. so why should I then see it neccesery to get this unlocked thing. But now if I look through the main post, I see that I need to PM hoborg to unlock SAF. So I guess I will

What SAF do:
-SAF is HDTV ready (*unlocked* only)
-HD (h.264,VC-1) video will be using DXVA (h.264 and VC-1) only if your hardware are DXVA compatible and if your video files are made correctly.
-HD (h.264,VC-1) video + subtitles will olny use DXVA in MP 1.1 (or newer)
-MPEG2/h.264 LiveTV (and DVD's will be using DXVA only when you use *unlocked* SAF (PM me how to unlock SAF)
-SAF is designed and configured only for MediaPortal/GB-PVR, you can see some side efect when using with different software (like WMP,...)
-SAF 4.xx have integrated FFDshow. Thanks to this, you can enable FFDshow postprocessing to increase quality of non DXVA video. Here is direct link to thread how to do it.
