@mediortal+joz
MPC-HC can use external ini file. Store you setting here.

I read somewhere that it's better to use the registry for some reason, I did use ini file long time ago, but had some problems, so I just put it down to that, Not sure if this is 100% correct though.

Either way, when installing SAF, it will still set its own mpchc as default, is this right?
I still have to go in registry and change this back to my normal mpchc?

@punkeren
@1stdead new Haali will be integrated as soon as possible :)

Cool, a new version of haali! :)

This is a minor annoyance for me too - I don't like my file associations changed :( Granted MPC-HC > WMP but my HTPC has to be n00b friendly and I prefer WMP to own all media file associations.

SAF 4.00 Beta22test6 with latest Haali ready to test

- added switches:
/? - info about available switches
/a - disable MPC-HC association

@csapollo,mediortal,joz
By other words, run saf.exe with /a switch "saf400beta22test6.exe /a" to disable auto MPC-HC associations

Re: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

Hi all,

i've got a problem with playing a .ts file yesterday. If i start it in MP, nothing happens. If i start it manually with MPC-HC i got a message that there is a problem with subtitles in the file ???
Then i can click close and the movie starts but has lost of artefacts while playing.

I've searched this thread and found something about a subtitle patch. Do i have to use this?

I use MP 1.1beta and SAF 4.00beta.

Thanks a lot
Henric

Rename *.TS to *.M2TS or mux to MKV

I'm having some issues playing some .avi files. Most are fine, but on some the sound is absent. According to Mediainfo there is no difference between audio tracks in the ones that work and the ones that don't work. Atleast not as far as I can see. I already tried installing the latest beta but that didn't work.

Looks like we'll be waiting 6 months for an integrated 5xxx series GPU Hoborg.

I have no idea what to do in terms of an upgrade - I don't think anyone in Australia sells the AMD 240e CPU right now, so do I import one.. and wait for an integrated 5xxx board.. or do I just buy a 65w CPU that does HT3 to use with my current board and wait 6 months and buy a 5xxx board and 45W CPU :|

    @Hoborg: SAF400beta20 / XP SP3 / ATI 9.7

    I noticed some videos wont play properly unless I untick YV12 under output mode in ffdshow video settings.
    I tried with CCC set to RGB and YCbCr format and can't play video unless i disable ffdshow YV12 output.

    EDIT: Sample attached - RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting (700kb file size, max 10x downloads @ rapidshare)

    If you can't play it either without disabling YV12, then maybe this should be disabled by default?

    @kiwijunglist
    Can you please try test saf400beta21test5.exe ? There was some changes in FFDShow video decoder

    BTW, i changed SAF install logic, as you want it, so you can try :)

    Tried Saf400Beta22test6

    Still can't play video unless i disable YV12 output.

    Does the video play in MPC-HC installed by SAF or in GraphStudio?
