Hi guys.

can anyone solve this problem im having.

basically this is the setup i have.

Xbox + skyhd ---> TV ia hdmi TV ---> amp via optical - This works and pass sound to the amp no problems.

Now i just bought an acer revo 3610 which has Nvidia HDMI out which pass audio and video.

I have setup media portal as per the instructions in the first post including SPDIF pass through ( per the installation instructions ) but when i play H.264 files in MKV format with 5.1 sound tracks i get no audio.

If i disable SPDIF passthrough in the FFDShow audio options i get sound with these files....

any idea why it might not be working with SPDIF passthrough enabled?

all other file types and sound work ok.

Hi,

When I use the PDVD9 codec for h264 live TV I get problem with stuttering, but when I use MPC it works fine. But when I use the MPC the hardware acceleration doesn't is used or?

What could be the problem be when I use PDVD9?

I have a problem with the newest SaF and Mediaportal Version.

I make all the settings from the first post, but when i want play a divx or xvid moviel from my hdd i have a black screen. the sounds work in background but the video doesent work
I habe installed it on vista x64.

any one have a idea? sry, my english is not the best.

I got a problem with DTS audio.
i watch 99% of my time on tv with tv sound. so 2ch.
all my .mkv have AC3 or DTS sound. The downmix to 2ch with AC3 works fine
but the DTS sound is stuttering.

the signal comes over hdmi to my tv and my settings for video are:
MPEG-2 -> ffdshow video
H.264 -> MPC
MPEG / AC3 -> ffdshow audio
AAC -> Monogram
Audio renderer: Realtek HDA HDMI out

passthrough while installation -> no

video post processing:
activated: ffdshow audio


any ideas for getting dts to 2ch?

I have had some problems with DTS tracks. More precisely the video has been playing at double speed with a lot of stutter. I solved it by switching the DTS decoder from libavcodec to libdts in ffdshow audio. I also downmix to stereo.

still stutter

if i open the same mkv in graphstudio and press play
the sound is perfekt. don't understand this behaviour.

If there is no problem in Graphstudio, then your codec setup is OK and problem is on player side.

hmmm,

i'm using MePo 1.1 RC1 without any plugins.
i installed the whole computer new today.
with just MePo 1.1 RC1 and SAF 4.0 stable

Hi,
i use SAF and i set PWD9 for DVD but it's FFDShow which runs. I lowered merit of ffdshow but with no success. Strange?

you're right!
my pc is connected via hdmi to my tv. so i chose "realtek hdmi" for soundoutput.
in graphstudio with a mkv and dts the sound was good. hmmmm, there is no
"realtek hdmi" but "directsound". so i changed MP to directsound and everything is good!!!
