Anyone else seeing a big jump in CPU usage (30-40%) when running the server? A little digging shows that sqlserver.exe starts eating a lot of cycles whenever the server is started and stops eating cycles when it is stopped. Seems it is writing to BKQueries_log.LDF a lot while just sitting there. (See attached process monitor log) No queries on my part. Not even an open html page. Just server in idle mode.

I also have a problem in that weekly program recordings don't show up highlighted in the "Listing" page after the first time recorded. M-F scheduled recordings are fine.

Any ideas or comments are welcome. I'm using MP 1.0 Client/Server in a single seat configuration.

I never get usage like that.

Are you using the XMLTV epg grabber configured and working within the web server. Maybe this is what is causing the DB hits all the time. I don't use this one for my epg stuff.

Thanks for the quick reply. Nope...XMLTV epg grabber is not working within the web server. I run an external grabber that generates an xmltv file that updates the database through MP Server. I did configure for "query based suggestions and recordings" though. I think I will disable that function and see what happens.
From the log SQL is writing to BKQueries_log.LDF, but I cn't read it to see what is happening. I'll report my finding with the function changed.

 Seems my bad. I had MSSQL 2008 Express selected instead of MSSQL 2005 Express selected. Runs about 30% CPU when doing inquiry but falls to 0% CPU when page is served.

Any ideas on the weekly repeating schedule issue?

The HTML seems to depend heavily on iframes, but my WM5 PDA says "Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames". I haven't found any relevant configuration settings. What can be done about this (short of buying a newer PDA just to operate MP ;-)? Would it be possible to have a non-iframe web interface?

Maybe you could try another Browser on your Phone Opera 9.5 beta or upgrade your rom to wm6.0 or 6.1.
Which phone do you have HTC?
I will get my HTC Trinity next week and after flashing it to wm6.1 and adding opera 9.5 i will give it a shot. For me the playlist management is the most important feature since i will use the plugin over lan only. Later this month when I get my "Mobile data flatrate" I will try the other stuff too

I bought the phone from Orange. They call it SPV-M3000. I think it's an HTC Wizard. There haven't been any ROM updates for years and i don't think it's powerful enough for WM6. I'm not really keen on using a beta browser. Furthermore, the little data display window makes the remote control layout too big for my screen. I'd just as soon have a simpler layout. Thanks for the ideas. Let us know how opera works for you.

The Wizard is capable of wm6.1 but needs some experience flashing. There are seveveral Roms some even with the touch friendly manila 2d(check out on youtube).
I can´t see your point of not using a beta. Thats what we did with mediaportal for years. But there is a non Beta opera it is Opera Mobile 8 and costs 19$.
Check out this forum. It has pretty much everything you need for your PPC/WM-Phone

    Hello everybody,
I just found an issue that could be enhanced.

My TVserver broke down, what caused the webinterface to break down too. Error message attached.
Thus I wasn't able to access the webpage. Clear why: Webserver service died.

I'm not sure how TVserver and MPwebserver are interconnected, but it would be cool, if Webinterface would still run.
Then you can access the page, a big red sign can tell you that TVserver isn't running and lets you start it from the config section within Webinterface.

    greets
