in mediaportal config you use the screen selector and select the secondary screen - which is the s-video.

But i can't choose anything, even though i have two monitors!?

I am having the same problem. The only way I can get MP to show up on my TV is to make it the "Primary display" in Display Settings in XP.

Nevermind, I got it to work. First, you setup your TV to be your 2nd display in Display Settings (Windows), but also select "Extend my Windows desktop to this monitor". This will tell MP that you have a 2nd display. Then, you can select your TV as your Primary display for MP to start on.

I havebeen using Zap2XML / GraceNote but that just died (for me alone seemingly) and I am out of listings. :( Would appreciate any help - Thanks.

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.
