the problem is that sometimes i want to hibernate my machine (and my tv is off this time, so i can´t see the mp menus). i tried to use the windows shutdown.exe with my remote (VLsystems mPlay) but it can´t use it.
now i found a solution to hibernate directly through a hibernate.exe someone upped to the internet. and everything works perfectly.
If you have the Microsoft remote, you can configure your powerdown button in energy settings of xp. It's the setting for "standby button" in the second tab.

@CyberSim was right. There was an order. I just checked the server configuration. But the command was in the client configuration of Powersheduler. I've corrected it now and hope it works now.

Since I played around with all the settings as per the previous posts and despite putting everything back to how it was, as far as I can tell, now when my HTPC wakes up to make a recording it no longer does so in away mode. I will probably do a restore from a backup in the hope that that will resolve the issue.:mad:
