DJBlu - Yea that looks good. How I was thinking is essentially the same. I was just going to piggy back all the channel code onto the EPG scanner. Essentially the "Scan now" button on my page (not on the screenshot) would just start the Sky EPG grabbing code and do everything in one step.
The only work I have really done is to change the EPG code to tune to the default transponder to perform a grab. In addition to the channel stuff I wanted to make it more user friendly so we could just have a "Grab EPG" option in tvsetup rather than having to select EPG background audio. I'll upload a patch later so you can integrate this if you want?
The options apart from "Populate EPG" don't do anything yet, they are just prototypes for the the channel synchronisation options I thought would be useful.

Hi all,
I am running MP 1.1.1.0 and would like to install the SKY epg grabber..............Is there any way to install without re-installing MP....?
I tried replacing the TX and the 2off DLL's etc from "sky-uk-uk-freesat-epg-tswriter_1.1.0_rc1" but hitting Refresh DVB EPG just does nothing, no activity on my cards. Incompatible ver's I would presume.
If I have to install the full apps, can I install over the top of what I have without upsetting anything?

UPDATE:
I went ahead and installed both exe's in "MediaPortal-SkyEnhancements-1.1.1" to upgrade my install......then ran up the TV Config and confirmed the SVN is installed.
I checked the two radio channels are enabled (epg background audio & freesat info), and hit the refresh dvb epg button and it appeared to scan the two channels to completion............but on running MP all my channels are no-data-available. I don't have any other grabbers enabled.
Any ideas?

Just to let you know, I did promise something for the weekend.

I will have something for testing tonight.
The Plugin is almost ready. Just need to polish off the scanner.

This is taking far longer than I anticipated.
I have been working solid on this for the past two nights.
The Channel Scan is working.
I am now having difficulty with the "Update" part.
Done:
EPG Scan
Full Channel Scan
Todo
Channel Updates and Transponder changes.

I am thinking of biting the bullet and adding the "OpenTV ChannelID" field to the Channel Structure. This will solve so many problems.
Another problem is the Settings.
Taken 9 hours as I have to transfer them to and from the Setup Form Class <-> Background worker class.
All very annoying.
I would like to say I will have something on Saturday Morning.
Bare with me as this will Add +++++ to the WAF.
No more retuning, Full EPG and Series Link!
I am going to work on the Extra Channels too, The Sky Sports Active ones, I will get the TSWriter to identify them and will put them into their own Group. This is the last thing on the list.

Yes I think the channel id will be needed for the updating, it's the only reliable way to reference a channel if for example the service id changes.
I have some free time this Sunday, give me a shout if theres anything I can do . I'm good with the database side of things.

Just like to reiterate what everyone else is saying/thinking.... Many Thanks!
Its really appreciated all this hardwork and effort. I'm sure we can all wait a few extra days to ensure you guys have time to get this sorted (Yesterday I flew back from the US, found my EPG not working, and in my tiredness performed a Scan - wiping out my custom Sky channel numbers - Then spent 2 hours manually editting all the channels again - Not the best when you haven't slept in 24 hours!)
