i am unable to map the channels to the card as when i hit the channel mapping button there are no channels in the lists and then when i go back into the hannel list the channels corrupt and are unable to view??

You have assigned the satellites to your cards haven't you?

I made that mistake the first time around...

I see you are using a TBS 6981 (the same as one of my cards).

I have DVB-S2 ticked - it seems from the logs that unless it is enabled, then you can't map a load of the channels that are detected as DVB-S2.

Have you assigned satellites to each card? i.e. in the config (where you also have the DVB-S2 tick box) have you told MP what satellites each card will provide?

See the following screenshot...

It should be self explanatory.. Set the satellite for the card, and tick the DVB-S2 box.. If you have already done this, then sorry for teaching you to suck eggs!!

When I first got this plugin working and it managed to scan channels I noticed that there were NO sats checked per your screenshot.......and it worked fine.

After another re-install I've not managed to get it to scan ANY channels whether I select my satellite or not.

Frustrating.

It will scan them without satellites being set - however you will be unable to map the channels to the cards - at least that is what I experienced..

I reinstalled, set the sats per card, and then rescanned and then I could map the channels just fine.

There were other issues with that particular SVN (not related to this thread) so I am now back on 1.2.0 and the 1.2.0A files from the first post in this thread. This is a much more stable setup for my purposes at the moment!

problem sorted!

complete reinstall of tvservice and set sat before i did any scan with openTV, then when i looked into channel mapping my channels where the to move where i so wish!

Can anyone give me a pointer where this information is located in the freesat data? I've never analysed it so don't know exactly where to extract it from. I can get this done fairly quickly once I have this info.

I tried searching for this but no joy... Is there any way to get the fixes in 1.1.2 (particularly the texture leak fix), and still have the sky epg stuff (which I really couldn't do without now!)...

I dunno if it my old card but since the update to 1.2 I can populate the epg etc no problem but when i click on a channel it just lock mp altogeather, weird this is if i go to preview a channel in config the view no problem but inside mediaportal it just locks up n i have force quit or reboot computer...driving me crazy used to work no problem even went as far as to reinstall win 7 and mp , the whole lot but it keeps doing the same thing. Don't want to go analogue for Christmas lol anyone else got this problem?
