No, it puts the Channel ID in the ExternalID field.

DJBlu , can you make your sky channel scanner work with Mediaportal 1.12 please
Even if you could make the original version work with 1.12 that would be good

Hi,

From my experience with the EPG code, it could be difficult to do so i'm afraid (DJBlu will be able to answer better though).

When developing, we generally work on the latest SVN version and there have been hundreds of changes since the official release of 1.1.2. This unfortunately makes it really difficult and time-consuming to merge the code backward into older versions.

Seems I spoke too soon...
It doesnt seem to be grabbing the EPG, I'v made sure it's enabled too.
any tips?, i'l try and get soem logs shortly.

I did a clean intstall, used the old version, did a scan then upgraded.

might try deleting all channels and startign again but I do rather like groups!

I have done some work over the weekend on the Channel Scanner as there are a lot of items I didn't anticipate.

2 x Tuners. 1 on Sky UK and 1 on Sky Italia. This is causing no end of trouble, With Channel ID's. I'm beginning to think we will need to use a string value for the Channel ID and put the Network ID at the beginning, i.e. Sky UK will be 2_12345. Sky Italy 318_12345.

My setup has a diseqc 4x1 switch on my lowest priority tuner. 1w, 13e, 19.2e and 28.2e

By any chance is this what happens when you scan 2 or more channels with the same name, MP 1.2 ( various builds ) combines channels tuning details with the same name?

Once you have done the scan if you tune to say Eurosport HD you have no Idea which version your going to get in which language and no way to switch between the tuning details without going into setup TV??

I can't use the new beta's because I don't want to spend hours and days going through the channel list separating and manual adding and renaming channels making sure they remain separate.

If this is the case it isn't your problem. technically it's a huge boo boo by whoever put together the new DB/Channel scanner who made the scanner/db over zelous at combining channels and there details even though they are entirely different channels. It's infuriating enough to stick with mp1.1

Do you have a stable Sky EPG patch for 1.1.2 or is the 1.1.1 patch ok for 1.1.2 .

I want to have a stable at getting your EPG and 1.1.2 disk io v3 patches working together on MP 1.1.2.
