Thanks for the hint on sorting groups Rich!

I'm pretty much sorted now I think - DiskIO might be nice, but I don't really see any issues anyway, even on HD channels - the drop in disk IOPS would probably be nice on my SSD though :)

One other question.. If you tune to a channel which no longer transmits, or is not broadcasting - i.e. going to Cbeebies in the evening when it has finished transmitting - causes an extremely long lockup before it finally gives an error. Is this something that can be fixed do you think, or is this more related to the main MePo TV Server?

    Cheers :)

I took the plunge and installed the latest version (the one from 22:30ish on the front page). Decieded that I needed the DiskIO patch so had to move from 1.1.1. Did a full drop of the old database and complete uninstall - fresh install then the patch on top.

However, my EPG is not updating. I've tried both the new and old method (logs attached), but neither works.

I don't know if its me reading the logs, but it looks like the old method tries different "cards" to the new method.

    Hi,

Sorry there is a bug in the installers on the front page. I posted new installers last night to fix this (see page #45), but these don't include the DiskIO patch yet. You can safely install this over the one on the front page.

I'm hoping to post new versions that include the DiskIo patch on wednesday evening. Again you will be able to install this over the one on the front page (or on page #45)

miroslav - thanks! Would love to see a forum dedicated to this topic - I'm starting to get lost in the thread!

Anyway, the updated patch gets the epg, but seems to be only for one card.

Excuse me..i haven't understood... have you compiled any installer for patch the problem with sky italy for versions 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 of MP? It seems to me that in this last post you are talking about the 1.2.0 alpha versions.. have you planned to do the work also for previous stable versions (1.1.1 or 1.1.2)?

    thx

    Gianni

    Yeah - me too!
Actually, I'd just like to see all this fantastic work rolled into the standard MePo install.

Is there any chance that 1.2 will include all this as part of base code?

(If so, perhaps DJBlu & Miroslav22 would then be able to focus on adding new functionality - such as Freesat series link - instead of constantly trying to merge patches against three different versions)

    Hi,

The new grabber will only ever use the first card/tuner it finds that can tune to Sky's default transponder. Would this ever be a problem?

PS. I might start another new thread soon ;)

So far i've only managed to incorporate the new version into 1.2.0 alpha. There are still a few problems with 1.1.2 to fix, but i'll post installers for it as soon as they're ready :)

It won't make it into 1.2.0 now i'm afraid as no new functionality can be accepted (only bug fixes). I will push for it in the next major release. I'm afraid that's likely to be 1.3.0 :( (any 1.2.1/1.2.2 version will likely be a bug fix/service release)

If 1.1.x proves to be too much of a pain, I'm sure we can happily wait for 1.2beta :D

    Hi there,

Not meaning to put a cat amongst the pigeons...

But what's the roadmap/future for the two seperate streams we have running here (MiroSlav and DJBlu).

It seems both of you are doing great work, but we have two separate solutions????

    Thanks,

    J.

Once we both have stable patch files it *should* be easy to merge them into 1. I'll post mine soon :)

Edit: @DJBlu If it gets difficult we could maybe ask the team if they would mind us using a new branch in the svn?
