Hi Guys,

Stupid question but I'm on 1.1.2 Which files do I need for this (Sorry but I've been away from Mediaportal for over 2 years and I'm now getting confused as to what to use.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

You will want the 1.1 version (you can get it from the first page)

    Thanks Jay,

I did look at that and it was a load of files and I have no idea where they are supposed to be put. I was sure I'd read about an installer that you ran and it just put the stuff where it needs to be??

I'm gonna sound stupid here but is there a guide that will help me with these files and give me a step by step guide to configuring the tv channels? I have 2 satellite cards in my machine so I assume that whatever I do will have to be done for each card in turn?

Sorry to sound stupid but I appreciate your help.

    Hi there,

The downloads on the first page (1.1 installer) is a zip/rar file. This has two exe's in. Simply run these (they will install on top of your base install).

    Backup everything first. :)

I can't comment on the config (whether to it matches the screens on page one, or whether you just select EPG background audio) - as I dont run 1.1.2 (in theory it should be as simply as enabling EPG grabbing for Sky UK - as per screen capture on page one)

    Hi all,

I've updated the first page with a link to the new installer (for 1.2.0 Alpha) which includes the diskIO patch. There is a new patch file for 1.2.0 as well.

Really sorry to disappoint but there won't be a version for 1.1.2 as I can't get the new patch to work with it :( Unfortunately there's just been too many changes since it was released.

1.2.0 beta is just around the corner and I will of course post a version for it when released. It's looking by far the best release of MP, so i'd highly recommend moving to it for anyone on 1.1.2. Please note a fresh install will be required (even for current users of 1.2.0 Alpha)

I will start a new thread once 1.2.0 beta is released

    Hi there,

    Many thanks for this. :)

Which SVN is the 1.2.0 update built against?

    Many thanks,

    J. :D

It's the tag of 1.2.0 alpha which is SVN revision 26619 (1st November 2010)

So it should be exactly the same as a vanilla 1.2.0 alpha install but including the Sky enhancements and DiskIO fix :)

Bad news for us 1.1.2 users but in the meantime how can I get my epg working?

    Hi there,

I wasn't sure if you were going to release binaries for the latest 1.2.0 SVN (as there have been some good fixes - well I think so anyway :))

Do you happen to know if your patch merges with the latest? (I will try tomorrow)

    Cheers,

    J.
