    Ian.

    I have a Hauppage at home so I can test at the weekend.

    Can you try using the USB tuner connected to 28.2e?

    Sounds fantastic DJBlu!! :cool:

    Hopefully I'll get it installed tonight and will feedback.

    Quick question. I have a mixed DVB-S/DVB-T server. If I use the OTA grabber for the DVB-T channels and this mod for the DVB-S channels and I then combine the channels that are available on both tuners, which EPG will prevail for these "mixed" channels when viewing the "All Channels" group?

    Thanks for all your hard work. This really will take MP TVServer to the next level!.

    All the best,

    Wo0zy.

    I will be messing about with dvb-t channels later I have got hold of a cheap dvbt card. The way the epg is updated is the scanner modifies the externalid field of the channel. The epg scanner looks up this field and adds epg to that channel.

    Are you wanting Epg from dvbs to replace the dvbt or the other way around?

    Thanks for the reply.

    I guess I don't really mind either way just so long as the "Digital Terrestrial", "Digital Satellite" and "All Channels" groups have complete and accurate EPG data :).

    I was also thinking that perhaps if the EPG data came from the DVB-T source that perhaps series linked recordings would work for thoses channels but I could be way off there and am happy to wait for you to implement that in your code ;)

    Sorry about this last question but any chance you could re-build against the latest SVN? I seems that Jameson's fix for radio not starting from within the radio EPG didn't make it into the beta release. I don't know whether it was submitted by the time you compiled your version or whether it was only merged in 27851. I kind of need this fix for WAF. If it was added in 27839 then no worries.

    Thanks again.

    This is starting to look very good, well done! When I run the grabber, however, I get a lot of No NIT found for errors. I then end up with an incomplete list. I scan for BBC Wales ITV Wales on a TPS dual dvb-s2 card. Which area / location do you know works perfectly (for you) and I will try scanning for that. If I still have issues then, I will try and post more info.

    Thanks.

    Thanks,

    I have 2 x TBS cards also however I have then in a machine with a really fast processor and a SSD hard drive.

    I will be testing on a single core and a 5400rpm hard disk as I beleive the the timeout for the data grab isn't long enough for some computers.

    I would like people to let me know of everything on this, no matter how small. That might be the reason why something isn't working.

    I will start a new thread which will be locked and will contain files only.

    Then we can carry on the support for this in here.

    That's actually very interesting. I was going to say that the old grabber worked. I did have my card (it's actual a single dual input card, but I suppose it amounts to the same thing) in my HTPC in the living room which is a water cooled Core Duo at 3.1GHz and a SSD. Over the weekend, I moved the house around, and the satellite cable wouldn't reach to the 'new' living room, so I put the feed to the study, and used on old P4 with a 7200 RPM drive as a server. The SSD in the main HTPC is used to make the computer silent, not for speed, which is why I can't move it.

    Foolishly, I also installed a spare copy of Windows 7 on the P4 machine, which causes the fan to spin up loads, so that would indicate there is also a load issue on there. I will try going back to XP (if I can find the original disc!) and see if that helps.

    To recap - the old grabber for 1.2A worked fine when sat card was in Intel Core Duo 3.1 with SSD drive, but new one doesn't work in 1.2B in P4 and 7200 RPM drive.

    Thanks again.

    Hi , I live in Nottingham so am in the east midlands region,
    I've had a play with the region setting but dont appear to be able to get the correct BBC at 101(BBC1 East Midlands (Waltham) 980)

    any ideas?
    it also seems to only way to force it to repopulate the region is to delete all the channels before rescanning.

    Thanks

    A bit more info
    by choosing the following regions you get the following results

    mids & yorkshire -> BBC1 East Midlands
    east +mids -> BBC1 Yorks & Lincs
    borders -> BBC1 NE & C
    emids ->BBC1 Yorks & Lincs
    so it looks like the matching up between the dropdown and the results are not correct.

    Let me know if you need any more info.
