Have you modified the details for the default transponder? Try re-enabling the grabbing and click the reset button next to the transponder details.

Hi microslav22, thanks for getting back to me. I can confirm I have not modified the default transponder details. As per your instructions, I have clicked the reset button and re-enabled SKY UK grabbing (also left "EPG Background Audio" and "Freesat Info" radio channels selected for EPG grabbing). The result is as follows:

As you can see, the Sky UK EPG grab fails "no channels could be found for the default transponder", and the more 'conventional' "EPG Background Audio" grab doesn't find any EPG data. Please note I have a diseqc switch and I'm unable to enter any diseqc information in the Sky UK transponder section, so don't know if that has anything to do with it? Regardless, I would still have expected the 'conventional' grab to have worked, which is what I used successfully in the previous version (MP 1.1.2 with SKY EPG installer based on SVN 27219).

On a different note, I don't have a series record option at the moment, which was always very handy. Is that because the Sky UK grab isn't collecting any data? Also, on the MP client configuration I've selected some of the quick record options, but I don't know how to actually use these using the MCE remote?

Yes, I've set up diseqc correctly for the cards and I have mapped the channels correctly. I have no issues tuning to any of the DVB-S(2) channels. As you can see from the log, if I leave the "EPG Background Audio" and "Freesat Info" radio channels ticked for EPG grabbing, they tune in correctly but no Sky EPG data is retrieved. These settings worked well in the previous version I used (MP 1.1.2 with SKY EPG installer based on SVN 27219). A visible change from this previous version is the dedicated Sky UK provider page, but when I tick that option the grab fails with " Error cannot start EPG grabbing for Sky UK as no channels could be found for the default transponder".

Thanks for the clarification on the Series Link, I'll give that a go.

I have upgraded to 1.2.1 and had to reinstall the Sky EPG grabber. Unfortunately, this has now removed from the TV Server the plugin "powerscheduler++" (an upgrade on the standard, packaged Powerscheduler).

No problem I thought, I'll just reinstall Powerscheduler++ but the plugin now says that TVServer is now incompatible with PS++

Any ideas so I can get PS++ back again??

Either go back to the old media portal or wait for a new version of PS++

Anybody using the latest MP 1.2.1 patch (from the first page) to successfully retrieve Sky UK EPG data? Unfortunately, it is not working for me although the previous releases worked fine (see earlier posts with log entries). I'd like to think I'm not the only one using the latest patched version... Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that, however it has now installed. It took 4 attempts and two reboots, and it is now showing up in the TV Server plugins sections.

AberDino - I reinstalled the Sky EPG yesterday (I'm running 1.2.1.1) and it has populated the EPG, although it has missed some channels i.e. Dave, Quest, Yesterday and some of the Men & Movies channels. I'm going to delete these channels and rescan for them, but I will backup first before I do. It may then populate the EPG - it has in the past when I have done this.

Find attached my epg log. No Diseqc, just a quad LNB running two feeds to a dual sat card.

I'm still not getting Dave, Dave Ja Vu and about 12 others. Tried deleting and rescanning the channels but still no data. Hmmmm.... I need to clear all the channels and start again methinks.

If you find anything let me know. EDIT: The channels where I have no data are not listed in the epg log at all. Not scanned, so no data.

Thanks for posting your epg.log file. I noticed two things:

1. It seems you are not using the dedicated 'Grab Sky UK EPG' option (can be found in TV Server DVB EPG section). Is that correct?
2. The 'conventional' BSkyB EPG Background Audio radio channel grab doesn't find any EPG data, which is the same problem I have. This used to work fine in the previous version. This explains why are you are still missing data for some (Sky only) channels. The Freesat Info grab works fine.

So, I'm glad you are seeing the same issue, we now have to hope microslav22 will have some time to look into this .
