Hi, I also installed StreamedMP on my ION-330 with Vista and newest drivers. I have the exact same problem. The switch between menus is very slow..about 6secs! CPU is pretty much in idle. With bueWide and blueglass there are no probs...so this must have something to do with the skin :(

I hope there is going to be a fix. This is my favorit skin

Tried it with the default skin as well, it was quick so I'm starting to think it is something with the skin or the plugins or the way the switch takes place... Anyone?

When you say "Switching Menus" are you referring to exiting BasicHome and then Entering a plugin?

Is the delay the same for all plugins?
Does the same problem happen if you use Standard Home?
Does the same problem happen if you use SingleImage instead of MultiImage on Baschome?

6secs seems like a long time.

For as far as I tested it, it happens on every plugin switch. The time it takes to switch between plugins sometimes changes by a few seconds. Weather, TV Series, Moving Pictures, they all switch really slow. I'm going to try and install 1.0.2 stable and the StreamedMP v0.8.448 to see if that works or not. It worked correctly on my other HTPC with 1.0.1 and skin version 0.8.448. Since MP 1.0.2. has mostly installation related fixes, I assume it will work almost the same way.

Today I'll try to get some testing done, but I don't have much time. I'll make a test comparison to see witch skins work and witch don't. Hopefully we can figure out what is causing this.

I always come from the default home screen that is set on installation of StreamedMP, it is where the menu's are on the left en scroll vertically.

hi it's really on every menu switch. even music and tv..it also happens on the way back. I mean when I am finally in the TV menu and go back to basic home I also have to wait.

I only tested this now for Basic Home. Seems like a ION-330 + vista/win7 + skin problem

I have exactly the same problem, I played with the menu and it indeed happens on all menu switches, back and forth. Back is even more annoying as it looks like it does nothing and all of the sudden switches.

    First test results

    Oke, first results are back...

I tested MP 1.0.2 with StreamedMP v0.8.448 and switching to Movies, TV Show etc is snappy and within 2 seconds your in with backdrops loaded. Going back takes a little longer around 4 seconds, but is still a lot faster then with the newer version of StreamedMP and MP.

I'll play around a little more to see if other skins work fine as well, but I'm out of playtime for today ;)

Conclusion so far: StreamedMP v0.9.601 with latest SVN or Alpha version of MP is extremely slow when switching plugins. StreamedMP v0.8.448 and MP 1.0.2 is a lot faster and seems to work normally.
Next test: Installing StreamedMP v0.9.601 on MP 1.0.2 to see what happens. Hopefully this will give us an answer to the question: Is it StreamedMP that has a bug or MP itself.

    Greetings,

Thanks for testing, if its the same slowness with StreamedMP 0.9 on MP1.0.2 then something has changed in MediaPortal. Trevor has already started debugging this for clues.

Well haven't installed the new StreamedMP on MP 1.0.2 yet! I have however found that not only does switching to plugins works normal and fast, also marking movies or series as read and other context menu option work a lot faster then with the new MP and StreamedMP. There is most definitely something wrong, my setup is finally running 100% as it should, I'm going to play around a little with this setup to see if there are other things that work better then it does with new MP and StreamedMP. If I don't find anything in a day or two I'll install newest StreamedMP and report back.

You're also using an asrock ion330. I played around with the x-factor skin but it is also slow, especially with opening the music section. You said you used MP v1.0.2 but with only an atom cpu and ion chipset how did you play hd movies well as gpu acceleration it is not supported in v1.0.2?
