Uninstall ffdshow, run filmerit (link in signature) fix any filter errors.
Then try either the cccp or Vista codec packs, either is excellent and pretty minimalistic (cccp very small, i use this), both use ffdshow as a base codec and are easy to configure for all filetypes they support.
Chances are its only haali media splitter that is the problem, above should correct.
