    Cloning=quicker BUT why not just install the OS?
    XP is FUN(?) with an SSD (<- sarcasm), just go Win7 and install 1.1 final...

    Hopefully my Intel X25E will be here this week - complete overkill :D

    But hopefully it should fly (OS only), timeshift is RAMdrive :)

    uh oh...didn't count on Windows XP being a problem when I ordered my 40GB Intel X25-V SSD....looks like I am going to be trying to Slip Stream Windows 7 then?

    Many thanks both - I have 40GB to run Windows and Media Portal, with media all stored on the network, so I should be ok...looks like Windows 7 it is!

    I have 3 SSDs. Each in a different PC.
    Patriot 32GB,
    Kingston 60,
    Intel 40.
    The Kingston gets hotter than I would ever expect for an SSD.
    I recommend the Intel even though it is a tad more expensive.
    TigerDirect has an SSD sale on!
    (Disclaimer: I sometimes buy from there but I neither endorse or recommend them, buy at your own risk, etc).
