But please remember that current development only concentrates on bug fixing - so please be a little patient with requests ;)

One can always ask, as long as you do not expect anything.
And I think it's a good thing you are killing the bugs, no point in having all the features if they don't work...

Bear in mind that this would have to be a configurable option. Many people use the time shift feature for instant action replays.

One thing I would like is the ability to reduce the amount of delay between live tv and what you get to watch. I use Sky in the UK and it's impossible to change channel because you press a button on the sky remote and then have to wait 3 seconds before it comes up on the screen. By the time you press the next button the sky box has decided you didn't want to change channel anyway and you have to start again. :?

I've been using Sky for years and have no such problem, the response to the remote is virtually instantaneous - even my three-year-old son has learned to change to the cartoon channels. I knew there was some performance difference between the various digiboxes available but taking so long to recognise the button press that it times out sounds excessive! Could your remote be faulty? :?

I second this ! It is unbearable to have to wait several seconds between key presses. I know that this lag exists because while timeshifting there's a delay between the live show and what MP is showing.
Is it technically possible to reduce this lag ?

EDIT: I don't have a sat or cable box, I've got TV on ADSL with Free in France.

So you are not timeshifting while you are on sky ? If you do please explain the magic ...

If you use a VPN connection to your home network, you should be able to use the MP client to connect to your server natively instead of using MPExtended.

I used to use the grabber but a few years back it disappeared on FreeSat DVBS. That is when I changed to EPG Collector. The extra benefit is that it collects from the Sky platform so it will give EPG for all the FreeSat channels plus the unencrypted movie channels on the Sky platform. It also allows me to pick the channels dedicated...
