Re: SubtitleDownloader 1.7

Yeah!,

You are wright. I checked the code too. In retrieverer there is a catch exception but not for imdb query. I modified the code to handle this. Now it worx perfect.
I tried btw the implementation of your dll in tvseries but it doesnt seem to work (it doesnt download anything). So i reverted back to retriever.dll

Re: SubtitleDownloader 1.7

Hi, thanks for this plugin it works great with tvsubtitles but I used to download my french subtitles SeriesSub.com - Sous-titres de séries TV with the old mytvseries but it's not in this plugin.

The subtitles from this site are really better than the ones from tvsubtitles. Is there a way to add this site to subtitledownloader?

Thanks

    Re: SubtitleDownloader 1.8

I've released version 1.8 of the SubtitleDownloader.

Notice that TVSeries 2.5 and later has inbuilt support for SubtitleDownloader. TVSeries 2.5 ships with SubtitleDownloader 1.6.

You can update SubtitleDownloader by copying latest SubtitleDownloader.dll to Mediaportal installation directory (overwrite the old .dll).

Thanks for this great plugin, seco.

But podnapisi site doesn't work for me. I always get "No subtitles found or retrieved".
I've tried the latest 1.8 version and the one that comes with latest TVSeries.

    Other sites work fine.
Hopefully you can solve this problem, because it has tons of subs in different languages.

    Hi,

What is the episode you are trying to search subtitles for?

What languages have you selected? Does Podnapisi return results with only English selected?

I've searched for the new Lost and Human Target episode: Lost.S06E03.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION and Human.Target.2010.S01E05.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.

I've tried with both checked, Slovenian and English, and only with Eniglish checked.

    Re: SubtitleDownloader 1.8

Reinstalled the TVSeries plugin and reselected settings, but same problem.
Other sites work, except Podnapisi. I have no idea why.

EDIT: Reinstalled MediaPortal (I'm using beta + SVN). Same problem.

Anyone else having problems with Podnapisi?

Is the new Bierdopje implementation really supposed to be much faster? It actually seems to take longer. After selecting Bierdopje (when it's actually searching) it takes a long time... Often up to 30 seconds.

As we discussed, it seems the Bierdopje site is very slow during the evenings (at the moment the frontpage doesn't load under 30 seconds) so there's nothing I can do about it..

Tuesdays & Wednesdays are top-days because of 24, Heroes & Lost.
Optimizations are in the works since server loads of ~90 are not cool at all.

The new implementation should be at least a bit faster since it does less HTTP requests.
This however doesn't work if the server is really stressed.

I can confirm this new implementation is a lot faster. Just tried it out and it was a lot faster than 1.6.

Is the "Subtitle Downloaded" messagebox being caused by: The skin, MPTvseries or the SubtitleDownloader?
