Hi!

Tested the new version. Works much better!
but...
Why is the quality so much better if I exit MP and play via the web browser, I'm still using the ms mp11(not flash)?
any settings to play around with?

I think it is the same problem I have. If you turn off vmr9 for web streams it will get better (if you can do that, I can not do this in RC4 )

In MediaPortal Configuration switch to "expert mode".
Click "DirectShow Filter Control" -> "Video Renderer Settings" and uncheck the "Use for playback of web streams" checkbox.

Hey,

Just found Media Portal and put it on one of my left over computers... and shortly there after I found this plug in Now I can finally have my kids here watch Swedish TV just like their daddy used to do when I grew up

And I will drive my wife nuts having her watch Svensson Svensson to teach her some more Swedish

It is a bit strange. I created two logfiles.
One with Web stream checked and the other with webstream unchecked.
Please note I am using VMR9 setting and not EVR. In both logfiles I get however this message "SvtPlay Playing video stream (using EVR)"

Can you please check the log if you see something suspicious.

I would of course love to get svtplay to work good with vmr9 or evr.

Have yourself tried with checked and unchecked ands can you see any differences in the quality???
Maybe I have some strange filters used or anything else.

I am not at home right now, so I can not check the latest plugin source code. Can you search in your mediaportal.xml file for "evr" and post the matching entries here (or the whole file)?
About the difference in quality. I had this behavior too with my old computer (running XP). With my current computer (running Vista) I have good quality using all modes. Have no idea what the problem is and why it is occurring only in MediaPortal and not when opening from Internet Explorer.

Now I get NO video, only sound on some of the files.
tested latest svensson&svensson, no video, resumed old settings, played same file, got video,,, poor quality

Looks like they changed the EVR setting name in MediaPortal.xml, check if this one works better.

When you hear the sound, try and press the "fullscreen" button on your remote (or whichever key that is in MP) you will probably get video.
But you loose control of everything. Your option now is to either watch the complete video or exit MP.

I have had this behaviour also from time to time when not using VMR9. Also random behaviour

Right now I am exhausted. Installed a dishwasher machine at my mom's.
And as usual nothing goes smooth the first time.
