Hi. Wenn I watch TV.
If I switch from Fullscreen to MiniTv Mode or from MiniTv Mode to Fullscreen the Gui lost the TV.
1. Each time a manuel TV ON ist nessesary.
2. I lose the Timeshiftbuffer
How do you switch back to the minimized TV? Why not post some logs along with a better description of what you do (it could be in a thousand different places).
Here are more informations
I Start MP with this options in MediaPortal – Configuration
When entering the TV screen
x Turn on TV
x Directly show fullscreen TV
After a while I want to do something else on the PC
(e.g. use Firefox), so I hit the
Alt + Enter Shortcut to switch in window TV mode
The Live TV goes off
The Timeshift buffer get lost
I start TV ON again manually (this works)
By maximizing an other window like Firefox
Mediaportal is in the background,
so I use the mouse and choose in Mediaportal from the Menu – Options – MiniTv Mode
The Live TV goes off
The Timeshift buffer get lost
This does not work with Mediaportal 1 and never will, it was primarily designed as a full frontend, not a desktop application, so if it did not shut down the video playback, then it would crash and become completely unresponsive.
That is why Mediaportal 2 will be a great step forward, as it will be able to cope with either use.
Oh this is disappointing. If the timeshift problem is solved at MP 2.xx it would be great.
As temporary solution for MP1.3.x.
The video playback must be stop. Why can't it auto restart, if it was on before?
I did not get your steps at first, but as Paranoid Delusion posts, this is a limitation of the current program (All gfx related Tasks are restarted to switch between each mode). You might want to consider just not switching to windowed mode, but using alt-tab or the windows key to open other programs? You would have to disable "Allways On Top" setting in media portal config.
Yes "Paranoid Delusion" posts the limitation: It is necessary to shut down the video playback at this condition, so that Mediaportal doesn't crash.
Once again I hope with better words.
If I switch the mode. (ALT+ENTER) MP must shut down the video. After this I manually must start the TV again. Why?
MP has a start option if I switch to TV it automatically start the Tv. So the function is available for the programmer.
Why cant Media Portal starts automatically after the forced video shutdown the TV again. So I don't have to do this each time.
I think it's only an if-condition and a call statement for the programmer.
(Btw. I know the this doesn't solve the timeshift problem. But it's better than now.)

Sorry, I didn't get email notifications on these latest replies. I just came here to report I solved the problem after adjusting power settings for "Intel Graphics". I set it to Maximum Performance. I tried many other things so it could be a combination of them, but this was the last thing I did and I haven't had the problem return...
