My TV is pretty slow on resolution changes, but alas, my HTPC is even slower. Because of that, I see this all time, but figured it was a NVIDIA thing or because I don't have MePo set to "Always on top".

I'm on ati, so the video card doesn't make a difference. And setting mediaportal to be always on top doesn't make the issue go away either.

If that "flashing bug" hasn't been fixed in an earlier version and is now reintroduced,
then it is there since at least MP 1.4

That's the most annoying bug in MP right now. Especially if your taskbar is set to auto-hide as you need to bring up the taskbar and then bring MP back in foreground whenever you start a video.

In a branch to resolve some resume issue when MP is not focused, i have implemented the focus part when resuming, maybe the call to that function can be done on DRR code and see if it solve the issue :)

So does it always happen when refresh rate is used ?

Can someone make a little video ?

ofc i can't reproduce it here lol

I made a video. I will see two different files playing in mediaportal.

    First file: mp4 704x396
    second file: mkv 1280x720

You can see the taskbar flash in second 11.

So does it always happen when refresh rate is used ?

    Yes, it seems so.

I had no idea it was linked to refresh rate changer. Can I disable the refresh rate changer to test it?
