Hi TheGrayMan, its handles now up to 5 folders

MoPhat

MoPhat, let me start by saying SUPER EXCELLENT JOB!!! This should have been implement in MP long time ago.

I'm afraid even 5 folders aren't enough, it's better to have a folder list box (like MP folder list box). I for example have 6 folders for home videos, and they sit in different hard disk drives in the server. I understand that not many people will have more than 5 folders, but your plugin will look smarter with a list box, and as far as I can tell you like to improve your plugin don't you? :D

Other than that, it's a very nice plugin, especially the automation of it.

On my Vista machine with PowerDVD, ffdshow, quicktime lite and the thumbailer it works great for TS files (MPg2 and h.264) ! (???)

I'm tested on XP and there are not thumbs...

I am running MP: Release Candidate V1.0.0.0 RC1 The latest MediaPortal & TV-Server 1.0 release candidate, with the latest TV-Server SVN update.

I Downloaded your plugin using the MP Installer.
I then got this message when I clicked on plugins, in the MediaPortal Confiuration. (Checkout the Attachments 1+2).

The Thumbnailer3.png is a screenshot of your plugin I downloaded separately a 2nd time to my desktop in it's own folder (to see what was in it). I then unzipped it in that folder on the desktop to see if the .dll was there, but it wasn't.

Any idea of what is wrong?
    :D

Hi Surfer, i have downloaded too (my self created) plugin and has installed this on the notebook with the latest svn... but i got no error message!?

Is something in any log file?

please can you delete the thumbnailer.dll, ffmpeg.exe and ffmpeg.gpl from the plugins\process folder and try again for installing this?

    thx for the feedback

I did what you said and tried it again with the same results so I guess for now I will just not worry about it.
    Thanks

    :D TheGrayMan

I'm now including this new options:

    - the initial scan is not done while mp is launching (takes to much time), it does scan after 15 seconds ;-)
    - thumb creating time is now done by movie percentage instead of seconds > helper credits goes to vinch100
    - thumb creating respects now the video file aspect ration (letterbar or crop for 16:9 videos) > helper credits goes to vinch100

the new version is soon for download on the #1 post.

The three files goes in to "..\mediaportal\plugins\process" folder

the other 2 files or only for the mpi installer inside are written how the plugin are installed and the locations etc...

    P.S.
    does it work?
