Since the update it works with the variable %root% used with the external HD player arguments. :-D

Thank you, got it working now using the following settings:

    Use External Player: True
Enable Dynamic Refresh Rate Changer Settings: True
    External Player Path: C:\Program Files\Arcsoft\TotalMedia Theatre 5\uMCEPlayer5.exe
    External Player Arguments: "%root%"

(I have also tried the uTotalMediaTheatre5.exe and that worked aswell)

One thing I noticed is that it has to be "%root%". "%Root%" does not work.

Thanks so much for this! It was driving me nuts!

*edit* I was only able to get this to work using uTotalMediaTheatre5.exe and it doesn't launch fullscreen.
*edit2* There is a setting in TMT5 for Auto Full Screen. That did the trick.

Update: Problem solved! The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal. The issue stemmed from the corruption of one or both of the mc2xml.dat and/or mc2xml.exe files, for an unknown reason. Consequently, even though the tvguide.xml file appeared to be updated, its content kept being an...

I compliment you on the thoroughness of your investigations. (y) Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas what the problem might be. :( Perhaps someone else will post with some suggestions. -- from CyberSimian in the UK
