    Hi again

    :D for testing!
I hope I have found the problem. The code was attempting to turn on power either for an aerial or satellite dish LNB. It seems the H7 really doesn't like that. Please try the updated DLLs that I've attached. Also, if you have a multimeter I'd be really interested to know if the other two DVB-T tuners that worked are supplying power to the aerial.

Thank you so much for your efforts! I can’t fully describe how impressed I am of your skills and friendly way of helping us! :D

As I’ve spent my Christmas at 78° north, and unfortunately lost network connection to my HTPC two days after arrival, I’ve only done limited testing of the patch. I had remote control of it yesterday; installed the newest patch, and it worked well the two hours I was connected. Guess the power-to-aerial-issue is only relevant for the dvb-T/S units, since my TV-server is not crashing?

Thank you! The TerraTec H7 seems to work properly now when watching TV :D
The CI menu does not work though, no menu is presented when clicking the open menu button.
Non of my cards provides any power, I'm using a signal cable connector for providing +5V current to my terrestrial amplifier.
Non of my tuners with CI interface (TerraTec and Twinhan) are able to simultaneous tune two scrambled channels on the same mux. I don't get any error messages in the GUI (I haven't looked the logs yet), but the first stream is just garbage after the second channels is tuned. I can provide some logs for this scenario later, but I have just briefly tested this features.

    Regards,
    PK

I'm sorry, unfortunately I spoke to soon :(

After being idle for some time the TVservice reported errors with the TerraTec card.

First try tu tune a scrambled channel just crashed the TV service with a lot of expeditions in the tv.log file (attached in log.zip). After restarting the TV service got the channel is scrambled message (attached in log2.zip)

I hope som information in the log files can help you track down whats going on. I guess I'm back to my Twinhan card for now, that has been stable for weeks.

    Regards,
    PK

    Hi everybody :)

I have difficulties helping us all with testing atm, due to my current test install with M**** - whtch is NOT supported.
But - my current findings is as such using 2 H7 tuners:

MP 1.2.1 runs almost flawless - except I now and then experience black screen when tuning, and have to turn live TV off and ON from MyTV screen. Running with standard 1.2.1 Tvserver.dll - approx 140 DVB-C channels detected.

Updated to MP 1.2.2 and installed the new patch - and experienced trouble viewing channels.
Deleted all channels and did a retune.
Found only approx 15 DVB-Channels but got error messages trying to view them.

The lack of support from Terratec really has been annoying me - Ive tried to get help from them earlier but they seem really arrogant and surprisingly unaffected by the negative reputation they are getting. When You buy a product You should get what You expect from their advertising and specs.

Anyway - A REALLY BIG THANK to you MM for trying to helping us out despite Terratec s arrogance and bad customer policy.

Have ordered a new set of hardware - so it will be easier to help testing in approx a week or so :)

    Hi again everyone

    BREAKTHROUGH!!!!!! :D :D :D
I have CI menus working with the TerraTec driver now as well as the TechniSat and Azurewave/Twinhan driver. Please could you all try the attached DLL and see if it works for you. I'm hoping this version will be stable. The only thing that I know won't work is multi-channel decryption - I've removed that code for the moment as it is too hard to maintain while I'm still working on things.

I'm sorry, unfortunately I spoke to soon :(

The crash was actually a deadlock caused by TV Server attempting to initialise the CAM menu. As you know that was not working. Fingers crossed that problem should be gone and you should have all three of your Twinhan/Azurewave/TerraTec/TechniSat tuners working reliably now.

I have difficulties helping us all with testing atm, due to my current test install with M**** - whtch is NOT supported.
To be honest, I need as many people to test as possible. I'm not going to complain if you post logs. :)

If you still have the logs then please post them. Please also give the new patch a try. I'm hoping I've resolved both you and paalkr's problems in one fell swoop.

The lack of support from Terratec really has been annoying me - Ive tried to get help from them earlier but they seem really arrogant and surprisingly unaffected by the negative reputation they are getting. When You buy a product You should get what You expect from their advertising and specs.
Heh, yes! I still haven't received any contact from them - I solved the CAM menu problem completely by myself. It is frustrating because their hardware isn't that bad. The H7 is quite a unique product. In my opinion they could do really well with it if they provided better support.

Anyway - A REALLY BIG THANK to you MM for trying to helping us out despite Terratec s arrogance and bad customer policy.
No worries - thank you for testing and reporting the problems. I'm only sorry that I haven't been able to solve them more quickly. :)

Have ordered a new set of hardware - so it will be easier to help testing in approx a week or so :)
    :)

    Best regards,
    mm

    Hi!

    :D:D:D

I really appreciate the dedication and effort in helping out mm!! With the latest v1.5 patch the TwinHan and Terratec card seems to work in a daily operation. I can tune any channel and both tuners works well after being idle.

The CI menu does not work though, on either cards. I manage to get some info in the CI menu for the Twinhan card once, but for most time the TV service crashes when I try to open the CI menu. The one time I manage to load the menu for the Twinhan card I had big trouble selecting any entries in the menu, because any selection in the menu was reset almost immediately. It looked like the CI menu refreshed it selves constantly, and then any selections where reset as well (hope you understand).

I have attached a log where the TVservices crashes when entering the CI menu.

But, to be honest. I really don't see what kind of information the CI menu actually will provide me, and if I need the menu for anything. I'm happy as long as the tuners works for recordings and watching TV :)

BTW (a little off topic). I discovered that the pairing signal for the CAM was not picked up if the option for grabbing EPG was disabled on a tuner, where the CAM was inserted. I was kind of stressed for some hours, when my new CAM and keycard refused to pair, and hence no encrypted channels worked. I even called my provider several times and asked them to send out new paring signals. :D

    PK

I’m, still accessing my setup with remote desktop, so don’t know much about the use for watching TV/recordings. But I have installed and tested the new patch, and so far both the Cinergy and the H7 has run for hours without crash or freeze when zapping on remote desktop or when recording by schedule.

CI-menu navigation is working fine on my H7 (dvb-c part).
CI-menu on the Cinergy C is unchanged - scramblingproblem I solved, but CI-menu doesn’t respond.

Ok MM here is my latest findings:

1 - Updated from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2 and installed your new patch
Channel switching seemed ok. But no contact with CI menu, but probably because my current test setup with M****

2 - Deleted all channels and tried a complete rescan with 1.2.2 and your new patch to regenerate missing logs from my previous findings and post.
Almost same results; only found a few channels and tuning them resulted in "unknown error".

3 - Reinstalled 1.2.1 and cleared all channels to eliminate possible cause of tuning trouble.
Rescanned for channels again, this time approx 140 channels found.

Maybe off topic here; but MPTVserver setup seemed to hang when trying to clear channels
So had to restart/reboot several times. Hopefully the logs show all info :)

The strange thing from my findings, is when upgrading to 1.2.2 with the channels from before intact, tuning and watching seemed ok. But rescanning for channels didnt. I initially thought my M**** had screwed channel tuning to a mess. But ALAS the tuning problem was experienced only on 1.2.2 and with the new patch.
