Are you certain that a channel "Unknown 1" will give you any video?

Noticed for whatever reasons the scanned channels never leave when I uninstall 2.0
    Even after deleting everything !
Do you have performed a scan and can see all channels in your list of the TV-setup?
From the logs it appears, that you have no channels. As you used MP1 before and both use the same TV engine I believe you did it according to the manual: link

I can see the scanned channels fine in the preview screen. Working on modifying the config files, but I cannot get the modified copy to save. Reports "Access Denied"
I have set to run as admin in properties but it still doesn't want to play nice. Any thoughts on this?

Make sure the server service is stopped first (right click the Service Monitor tray icon -> Stop Service) and the client is closed. Remember to restart the service once you're done.

Still the originally scanned channel data stays and doesn't get deleted when MP2 is deleted even using an installer.

It looks like the same issue as in this thread.
Please try [re]installing the Visual C++ 2013 (x86) redistributable from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784, then reboot.

You'll need to delete the database after uninstalling if you want to start from scratch, it's located at C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Server\Database.\MP2TVE_3.s3db
The best way to get a completely fresh install is to uninstall MP2 using the installer then delete all of the MP2-* folders at C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\.

OK. I'll try that. Last time I tried to reinstall I got a message stating I didn't have sufficient rights to install the MP2 server. Would this be related to anything I have done maybe??
This message is preventing me from install the package

This is possibly the VC++ package failing to install, there are some issues with the installer that we haven't been able to nail down yet. Did you try running the installer as Admin (right click -> Run as administrator)?

I had to manually remove and reinstall under Admin Rights to install. But I still have no audio or video. I reinstalled both the 2010 and 2013 vc redistributables and rebooted but it didn't change anything.
It says on the notifications page that I have no player...no player registered to play media item "live3-0.ts.tsbuffer
Is there a player that has to be installed separate from the package?

Thanks for the update on this. I should have searched before posting, always assume it is something I have done wrong.

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

I was just tinkering with a few settings in the MediaPortal configuration and am happy to have found the cause of the problem. Disabling the option "Single seat setup: force RTSP usage" under "TV/Radio", "Advanced Options" resolved the issue. After I disabled this option, I was able to delete the recordings the first time...

you are right.. I spotted why it's not working. For what ever reason, the 3x recently added / watched for TV series, etc was killing it.. I've removed it for now and it's started working again. I'll have to dig a little deeper as to why it's happened all of a sudden.
