Or, you could also try some of the dedicated TV programs like ChrisTV or WinTV. They include things like an EPG and let you record shows without a HTPC GUI to get in the way.

My TV is a great plugin, but it's really designed to be component of a HTPC program.

if you want your htpc to behave as a "normal" TV then use the "autostart" plugin. You start the PC and the first thing you see from MP is fullscreen TV.

    thanks+regards

In your situation WinDVR is prbebly the best solution. Performance is optimal. Image quality is just as good or even better than in MP. I'm not sure if Purevideo is supported. If it is, the only thing you will mis is the EPG.

WinDVR is a realy good piece of software.

Hi there, since I changed TV and HTPC's CPU, I'm wondering if this guide: Guide could be considered still good today, since it's been almost 13 years since then and it's still referring to a resolution of 1080p? I say this because I have a new Panasonic 4K HDR TV, and with that settings, even if I have an old Gygabyte GPU (bought...

I’ll bear that in mind. I kinda have the skin where I want it now as I only use it for TV Recordings as everything else is done thru Plex. I’ve mainly for remotely setting up TV Recordings when away from home.

    MP1 MP2 MP2 - V2.5 DVD codec? DE
Apparently Windows hasn't had the codecs to read DVD since about Windows 8 or 10. I've been searching for a DVD playback codec but it requires another player. Is there a way for MP2 to read DVDs?
