But it's not going to be used for Cable. It's for Terrestrial TV from the outside roof areal.
I took a look at the guide. Some what confusing unless it's because it's aimed towards Cable?
Oooh, i didn't know that. You are right, the guide is made for DVB-C.

    Hi,

I was following robbo's guide and I have a question regarding channel scanning...

I only have one card in the media centre. A DVB-T quad card.

On the tutorial it says to...
Put a tick in the "Create "Digital Terrestrial" Group" option.

Is this only needed if there is more than one card e.g DVB-T & DVT-S, DVB-C?

Or is it better to use the group option?

Am I also correct when reading the tutorial that I will not need to do any channel combining?
So all the channels should appear once and that's that?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I could be wrong, but as you have the same type of signal (only DVBT) then no combining is required.

Similarly as you will only be receiving DVBT you dont really have to use the "create DVBT" group option... your choice if you want the channels in that group.

Just ensure all the required channels are mapped to all the tunners.

    Hi jay,

    Thanks for replying :)

    Ok but when you say...
Just ensure all the required channels are mapped to all the tunners.

What do you mean? Do you mean just ensure they are scanned on all tuners or is there something I need to do manually?

    Thanks

    I've done the scan.

Scanned with Belmont transmitter which is what my areal is directed towards. (was told so by the company who fitted the areal)
And, it will scan the channels but there are no HD channels at all.

On my TV which uses the same areal.. the HD channels scan in just fine.

I've tried scanning in other local transmitters.
    No luck.

The TV card I have is a Quad card... this one...

    Can anyone please suggest anything?

    thanks
