If your configuration looks like Rekenaar’s setup it should work…..

Just a question, do your other remote functions work in MediaPortal? I'm asking because I'm trying to determine if the IR-server is actually receiving instructions or not... Before you answer this question, please make sure you have disabled the default MCE-Remote in MediaPortal, and that the IR-Server plug-in has been enabled. Another way to test this is to stop the InputService and see if you’re remote in MediaPortal stops responding….

You can also try stopping and then starting the InputService again, see if it blasts then….

I have disabled the MCE remote and keyboard option in Media Portal Configuration |Remote.

    With Input Service turned off.
I can select the My TV and navigate the menu. I cannot pause live TV . I skip forward and replay though.

    With Input Service On.
I can do all of the above + pause live and continue Live TV.

No IR blasting when changing channels though.

How is it that I able to navigate the menu with the MCE remote disabled and Input Service stopped?

I recall requesting screenshots a few weeks ago in one of your other threads but I did not see you post any. Maybe I should give a list of things think you should answer/attach. Please follow/answer all steps. Surely someone must then be able to pick up the problem. Easiest way for me to get screenshot in Configuration, is to hit ALT-Printscreen to copy active window o clipboard and then paste in Paint and then Save-As jpeg.

Lets first take only the TVServer Config part.

    1. First step: please delete ALL files in the following LOG directories:
    • C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log\
    • C:\ProgramData\IR Server Suite\MediaPortal TV Server\logs\
    2. Screenshot of TV Channels; Edit a channel; Analog
    3. Screenshot of Plugins section
    4. Screenshot of Plugins; TV3Blaster Plugin for IR Server Suite
    5. If not selected, Select Extended logging in the TV3blaster plugin
    6. Screenshot of Plugins; TV3Blaster Plugin for IR Server Suite; STB Setup
    7. Question: Does your blasting work with the test button?
    8. Go to TV Channels again and select preview. Does blasting work?
    9. Attach all logs in the above mentioned directories.

I can't believe I missed a post where someone asked for info to help me. That surely must have slipped my attention. I will get all the screenshots and logs and answers to all your questions.

I have reinstalled MP + IRSS so many times to test all the combinations I got tired and I have finally made a Vista Image of the PC with MP 1.0 installed. Now it should not be a problem to test from scratch.

To quickly answer your questions, Yes to question #7 and No to #8.

Do I have to do anything other than enabling the MP Plugin Input Plugin? I did not do any configuration of the plugin, should I?

I have noticed that members from #1 ODI country helping the #2 :D

For this first round, I do not even want you to open MediaPortal or do anyting with other plugins. All must be done from within TVServer config. I do not want the log files cluttered with other stuff.

I guess this is what I would have to do then.

    1) Start TVServer Config.
    2) Go to Plugins. Choose TV3 Blaster Plugin. Test a Macro for blasting of IR Codes (that works fine though).
    3) Go to TV channels and select a Channel and click Preview button. (No IR Blasting - and that is the problem).
    4) Close TVServer Config.

Now do I have to enable any logging or is it automatic? I do not remember seeing any extended logging option.

The Extended logging is on the first page of the TV3blaster plugin.

    1. clear old log files first
    2. Start TVServer Config
    3. Go to Plugins. Choose TV3 Blaster Plugin. Enable extensive logging.
    4. Click on STB. Is the correct STB cofigured there? Test button changes STB? Don't do anything with macros now.
    5. Go to TV channels and select a Channel and click Preview button.
    6. Close TVServer Config

Attach logs (TVServer AND IRSS logs) and screenshots.
