I Agree, TV3 On Demand would really bring the W.A.F to previously unknown heights!

And yes, thank you so much to those involved with getting this to work, really awesome people.

As usual the link you provide (TV3 - TV) is a bit of a messy page for me.
What videos do you expect in the list? Those 3 featured videos, 12 latest, 12 expiring soon and 12 most watched?
Or the list here? Or should I get them elsewhere?

Also, if I know which site(s) to scrape, I need digidog to turn on his vpn again, because this one is also ip-restricted.

You were asking what would be best to scrape for NZ On Demand TV plugin

For TV3 and C4 it's quite straight forward

goto the website - http://ondemand.tv3.co.nz/tabid/56/default.aspx

Then click "Search By [Genre/Title/Channel]" and choose [Title A-Z]

You will then see ALL the online content for TV3 & C4 on a single web page.

This page gives you
series title, episode title, thumbnail, brief description, link to video.
by analysing the link to video you can divide the content between TV3 vs C4

For TV1, TV2, TVNZ6, TVNZ7 - You need to scrape a main list page, then a 2nd page for every show (maybe only scrape the 2nd page when the user chooses a show?)

Click "Find A show" -> "Shows A-Z" -> "All shows"

This gives you the 'main list' of every TV Show available as well as the channel it belongs to. You need to divide the list into TV1, TV2, TVNZ6, TVNZ7

When the user selects a show he wants to watch you have to follow the url and then scrape everything under "Full episodes" and "Videos Extras" and display that as a list to choose what to watch.

Alternatively if you wanted to do a less comprehensive scrape for TV1,2,6,7 then only display the default video that is linked to in the main list. This would be enough for some users as the default video is the current/latest episode.

TV1,TV2,TVNZ6,TVNZ7 are already in the plugin,
and for tv3 I can't find the url's (they are rtmp) and I suspect that C4 will be the same, so I don't think I can improve on this...

and taking a peek in xbmc didn't help either...:sorry:

It's not working for me either, no A-Z coming up. Seems like they change their
site a bit too often to be coincidental, perhaps it is to stop scraping

Don't know if this is any use, but would it be more reliable taking the listings from
the same links that the playstation app uses as i wouldn't expect they change the
format of these so often.

They are in XML format and give a list of all the same shows.

Starting from Categories as this url looks fixed

then picking All Shows

http://tvnz.co.nz/content/2997913/ps3_xml_skin.xml

after drilling down till you get to an episode, you get the same url for the .smil file.

We appriciete all the hard work and time you have put into this plugin for us,
hopefully this may help sort out site change issues to avoid fixing plugin it every few weeks.
