UI Calibration is not initialising correctly:

1. Set up UI calibration - for the sake of testing set it to an obvious scale/offset.
2. Exit MP and Restart.
3. Calibration should appear to have been saved and reloaded correctly.
4. However.... Go to TV and open OSD or start recording.
5. Notice that the 'REC' icon or OSD are not adjusted for the UI calibration.
6. Go to the settings->UI Calibration and escape.
7. Now OSD will be adjusted correctly.

I remember this issue existed when I first implemented the UI calibration.
The UI Calibration settings are loaded too late to apply too initial GUI init.
i.e. It's an order-of-initialisation issue.

IIRC, I did fix it by adding a call to reset the UI scaling just after final loading to ensure loaded UI settings are actually applied (which effectively is like the user going into settings->UI calib and just exiting).
I guess the fix got removed/lost - or my memory is failing me!

HTH,
BigJ.

I can confirm this bug. In last few SVN when I setup GUI calibration, it's works OK until exit and run MP again. Then I need to go to GUI calibration and as bigj said just escape and GUI is calibrated again.

I just discovered that on the one computer I have Media Portal installed the problem doesn't exist, no matter which version/SVN I take, while one the other computer the problem came up after 0.2.1.0. Now that's weird. I will take a screenshot as soon as possible and post my hardware config + log files.

Perhaps this has to do with what kind of TV you're using? It looks good on my CRT 19" computer monitor, but not on my CRT 32" TV (using S-VHS). I've tried both 1024x768 and 800x600 resolution.

Here is a screen of before I go into UI calibration:

    And here is after:

You see the difference at the top, right? This is taken with SVN 12369.

This ist exactly what it looks like on my setup. Looks fine on my LCD which is connectet to PC1 via DVI, but broken on PC2 connected to a 32" CRT TV using component out.

Connecting PC2 to a CRT/LCD computer display via VGA/DVI doesn't solve the problem, though.

As described above, going to UI calibration without changing anything, just hitting exit loads my settings and fixes the problem. This has to be done everytime MP is started of course.
