UI Calibration Initialisation (1 Viewer)

Ok, I new I wasn't imagining it - just searched the patch queue and my submission:

" 1438829 Add global GUI scaling (in addition to offset)"

Includes an updated zip uiscale3.zip that includes the fix for initialisation.
I guess that one didn't make it in to the tree.

Best to wait for one of the Devs to see this thread and hopefully apply the fix from the patch uscale3.zip.

I don't have a working development environment for MediaPortal at the moment - been a while since I did any coding with it - so I can't remerge the patch easily against the current top-of-tree.

But for the initialisation issue, IIRC, it's just a one or two line change so even though the patch is for a pretty old tree it should be pretty easy to diff uiscale3.zip with uiscale2.zip and apply the initialisation fix to the current tree.

Just need to be patient!

I just made the diffs, and I *think* I found the missing line - I added a new patch to the queue - 1640693 - but unfortunately at this time it's untested.

I've added some more logging to the loading of calibration settings. Maybe I have a clue what could cause this - please re-test with next svn and post a new log.

edit: damn - only read the first page and commited before I've seen your patch - but basically it should work now.

Please note that some OSDs aren't affected by calibration

Yes! That works for me.
I haven't noticed any OSDs that look wrong - except perhaps the 'waiting' visual that I think isn't scaled to the centre.

I'm a little lazy for testing svns, because last release works just fine for me, except calibration.

Finally But installed version of MP works so good, and I'm reading changelog and always see some bugs fix after improvement.
