Hi.
I'm testing right now. Got a first DB crash already... Mysqld could not be started. Only way to solve this was to completely uninstall MySQL, removing all Data files and cleaning up the registry by removing all keys related to MySQL... Not really a good experience at all... BTW, the TV Server Database was NOT the cause of this. After I got MySQL running again I've copied whole Scheme- Folder (mptvdb) back and restarted the daemon, all data are available without any issue...
And I'm running the server on all new hardware. Have not jet renew my sys specs, so fyi it's a new MSI Celeron 847 MB with brand new 8 GB of DDR3 1333 RAM...
Hi.
Tried new Build from today on a clean install with downloading MySQL via deploy tool. Got the same error importing Schedules, Channels and settings from previous 1.3 Server... So no way to use it as I don't have time and patience to rescan and regroup all channels. Getting back all schedules is another NoGo this way...
I'll have to change back to MySQL 5.5 and TV Server 1.3 as I need TV Server up and running...
I'm not sure that this info is useful here, but perhaps it is ...
Some weeks ago I also tried to update the database from 5.1 to 5.6 manual.
I had setup the db with the SQL workbench and have imported the data with huha's BackupSettings plugin.
That worked fine.
But after this I was not able to alter all the tables to use the InnoDb engine.
I also had some connection errors with the new db.

I was not able to solve the alter table issue.
After this I have tested @Sebastiiiis MySQL 5.6 branch. I have installed it and have again imported all my settings with the BackupSettings plugin.
The import worked without any problems and I use the 5.6 vs. until today.
