hi everybody,

mpextended 0.5.4 does not work on my win 7 htpc where i have a standalone version of mp 1.7.1 installed. i can not get a connction to the service neither via ampDroid Pro nor via browser (tipp mentioned in the troubleshooting section). The firewall rule concerning the 4322 port is already set up in win firewall. - The newest wifi remote is also set up according to the wiki page. the user data for wifi remote and mpextended is identical.

Do you have any further hint to help me find out why ampdroid can not connect to mpextended via my nexus 7?

You need to open your firewall for port 8080

It does not help! My Firewall is open for all three ports. And the account who starts the mpe service has full access to all shares.

Any other idea?

Is the service started according to the MPExt. cofigurator? Do the test links from configurator work on the same computer that you have the service installed on?

There are a number of issues happening here.
From what I see in most of the logs, there is some type of network issue happening here.
A lot of the Exceptions listed (and I do not read German) have to do with no network or internet access

The test links are working on the machine where the service is running. But the edited links are not working on any other device.

Do you need any additional information? I have read the whole troubleshooting section and do not know what else to do.

It is driving me crazy. How can I get rid of it?

Have you tried with totally disabled firewall?

You can check that if the ports are open or not when connecting from another computer on the network.

So weird! I have a fritzbox 7490 which chooses automatically between the 2,4 or 5 GHz WLAN. If my HTPC got the 5Ghz and my tablet as well, erverything is working fine. If they have different types or if both have 2,4 GHz it is not working.

That is really strange, is not it. It is reproducible.
