That's a good question. You can try to restart the MPExtended WebMediaPortal service, recreate the user (maybe you made a typo in the password?), and otherwise post your logs.

I think is has something to do with my Z: mapping that, no matter what i do (registry editing and some other tricks) it keeps being disconnected after a while.

After manually restoring the mapping and restarting mpextended and webmediaportal services the home page looks fine without errors.
But i have another problem with tvseries. Just look at screenshots. All banners are missing and once a serie is selected no seasons are listed.


EDIT: I just noticed that i had to update mpextended to version 0.52 (i was using 0.50)
Updating it made banners visible but still no possibility to watch episodes. The situation is the same of above screenshots but now i have images.
What's strange is that if i select an episode from the home page (one of the recently added) i can reach the episode page and stream it...
Plus music streaming is not working. Error 2032

On my setup only TV and Films are working as expected

The missing episodes is a known bug in MPExtended 0.5.2, see this topic for a temporary workaround until 0.5.3 is released. The music streaming problem should also be solved in 0.5.3.

I found a problem into the french translation and I tried to modify the UIStrings.fr.resx file then restart the service but without succes. The string in the web page stay the same...

Original code :

Well, I did something wrong. The Strings folder shouldn't have ended up in the installer, they're not used by WebMP at all. They're the source files for the *.resources.dll files, which are used by WebMP.

If you want to fix the translations, you've to head over to Transifex, create an account, and join a language team at the MediaPortal project. Your account should be approved in about a day, and then you can start changing translations. I usually update translations right before each release, but I've already packaged 0.5.3 so it'll end up in 0.5.4.

(Alternatively, if you've a Visual Studio setup, you can download the source code, change the UIStrings.fr.resx file there and recompile everything).
