Am I wrong or "TV-Server" string for the menu button isn't in the translation file (neither in UIStrings.fr.resx or transifex)?
In french "Serveur TV" or "Télevision" should be better.
That's because "TV-Server" isn't a string used in the default skin. There is no good solution for translating texts from skins yet.

Ok thanks! I did the modification directly into the menu.cshtml file of BlueShift skin and it's ok for me.

The fix you linked for the tv series episodes is working, but i am still unable to stream the episodes.
It seems that the service is not able to find the mkv file, but the file is there and perfectly playable from within mediaportal.
The movies, that are on the same network mapping, are streamable without problems.
This is the error from the service log

Code:
2013-02-02 12:46:40.70631 [(16)] WARN: Tried to start stream for non-existing file mediatype=TVEpisode provider=6 id=79349_7x2 filetype=Content offset=0 path=Z:\Video\Serie\Dexter\Stagione 7\Dexter 7x02 Il codice di Debra.mkv

You should use UNC paths in database since the MPExtended service is run under a different user context and therefore probably won't have a mapped Z drive.

    Feature request:

Any chance of adding default view choices to the configuration for Music, TV-Series and Movies? I'd love to browse my music in Album Artist view rather than Artist View, and UnWatched only for TV-Series. Best of course would to be able to change this from the GUI, but a backend solution would be a huge step towards that. :)

I don't think this is the point.
I also edited both services to be run by the same user that runs interactively but still no go.
And keep in mind that movies are streamable and they are on the same mapping

EDIT: I rebuilt the series db using unc paths (a real pain in the...) and now it works, so you was right. But i still can't understand why movies are working using the mapping....

Also music folder view can be a good idea. I have a giant music collection organized with folders

That has something to do with the subtle difference in the way MP-TVSeries and MovingPictures store the paths (fully-qualified or relative to the root), which prevents us from using the full UNC path for MP-TVSeries automatically. It'll be fixed in 0.6.

    MPExtended WebMediaPortal 0.5.3

    Download WebMediaPortal
Download IIS Edition (NOT for people using IIS Express!)

    Changelog
    • Fix season list
    • Fix artwork for music albums with special characters in their name
    • Show specials for TV shows
    • Remove jQui and BlueShift that were shipped with 0.5.2 by accident
    • Fix race conditions during jQui loading
    • Fix stretched images on the homepage
    • Sort today's schedules on the homepage by starttime
    • Show weekdays in schedule list for 'weekly on this channel' schedules
    • Also disable stream authentication when authentication is disabled
    • Improve performance by caching genre lists
    • Allow Images/calendar.gif to be overriden by a skin
    • Show local disks before network drives on the Status page
    • Update German, Dutch and Swedish translations, thanks!
    • Add Indonesian translation

You can upgrade your installation of a previous version to this version without any problems. No clean installation is needed. Please also upgrade the MPExtended Service to 0.5.3.

People using jQui or BlueShift should reinstall the skin after the upgrade. These two skins were included in the 0.5.2 installer by accident, and due to the the internal workings of Windows Installer, the 0.5.3 automatically removes them, even if you installed them manually.

    Bugreports
If you have any problems with this version (which you haven't already reported), please open a new topic and attach your logs. Posting your problems and logs here increases the chance I'll look over them or forget to answer them. Please use a new topic! It's also highly appreciated if you include the browser you are using and an explanation of what you are doing and the problems you have.

I'm posting this here as I don't think it is a bug, nor do I think it needs to be fixed. It's just something I didn't realize. Perhaps it's in the release notes and I didn't catch it....if so just ignore me

It seems some part of the services disables the "debug multiseat using UNC folders" for the regular MP TV client. There's no errors in any of the server logs. The client just errors with cannot find live stream. Maybe something to do with the transcoders or streaming server locking the files????

I just turned off UNC in client config and it works with RSTP. Seems to do better streaming after WebMP install, it used to hiccup on my wifi network. Doesn't do that anymore.

edit: it took me a little while to figure out so hopefully, this note can save someone else some time. Thanks for the hard work.

Today I will install the new version. But I noticed a small issue: CPU load and memory usage doesn't work here:

    Code:
    Systeem status
    Huidig CPU gebruik: 0%
    Huidig geheugen gebruik: 0MB / 3767 MB

I'm running Windows 8 PRO x64, maybe this has something to do with it?

Hmm, it's probably some unexpected interaction between the TV Engine and our service. I've to admit that I haven't used the "debug multiseat using UNC folders" feature ever, so it might be toggled by MPExtended and I just have never noticed it. I'll look at it.

Maybe your system is just idle? ;)

Seriously though, it would be useful if you could post your logs.
