Fixed: Shutdown/sleep/hibernate left the display on. (it WAS fixed... but later changes broke it... sorry 8-} )

Well fixed half way so to say :)
The display crashes when returning from sleep.

It turns off when going to sleep, but when waking up the display goes on but nothing is displayed and an exception is created in the log.

The only thing to get display back in control is to shut down MP and start it again. But as soon as you enter sleep and get back the display is "broken".

Naich:

Please post the contents of the [HKEY_CURRENT__USER\SOFTWARE\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON] registry key...

Johan & Mangavin:

I'll post a new version once I get a chance to go over the logs...

cybrmage. Hello.

I backed up a fresh XP. I reinstal Mediaportal.... And the files as you said... The same error.

from your log
Code:
ExternalDisplay.iMON.Start: Could not open display

which means your still using the wrong driver... The right driver will log
Code:
IDisplay(API) iMONLCDg.Setup() - Open failed - No iMON device found

try deleting the ExternalDisplay.cml file from your MediaPortal directory and run configure again.

Johan: thanks for the logs... I think I found the problem this time....

Here is the new version:

Fixed: standby/suspend/hiberate did not resume...

Still works perfectly, but I was wondering one thing,
Could there be an option to center the text?
I'd actually just like to center the "MediaPortal / 9:18 AM" message, since the place it has now looks a bit odd.
Plus it's the only message that's centered to the right, while the rest is centered to the left, thus when you decide to leave the home menu idle it "jumps" to the time.

I just made a quick test! It works!

Thanks for your very quick fix! How do you manage to get the time! :)

    Hi guys,

great job! Just one problem I am facing: The LCD works as it should, however I lose the function of my remote, once the LCD is running in mediaportal.

Same problem as stated by sbeuerle here: imon crashes, no remote... older versions are working fine.
    Here's what's in the log:

2007-09-19 21:01:52.984375 [Info.][ExternalDisplay]: iMONLCDg.Check_iMON_Manager_Status(): Inconsistant state: Soundgraph iMON Manager Stopped

Anyway, great work and thanks for the great plugin!

    umm.... no...
The text is already centered by the ExternalDisplay core.... I'm not going to be overhauling the core until after I have discussions with JoeDalton.

Thanks... I think this version of the driver should fix things...

Thanks for your very quick fix! How do you manage to get the time! :)

You welcome... I'm on vacation from my "day job".

Just one problem I am facing: The LCD works as it should, however I lose the function of my remote, once the LCD is running in mediaportal.

If you actually read the posts that go along with the posting of the driver versions, you would know that I point out the fact that this would happen while I try to fix a few kinks in the SoundGraph detection code...

Same problem as stated by sbeuerle here: imon crashes, no remote...

Same response as for sbeuerle... iMON doesn't crash... it is being deliberately stopped as part of the debugging process...

    Here is the new version:

Fixed: Devices that use the iMON manager would not be detected properly. With this fix, these devices should once again be fully functional.
