I don't use MP2, and I don't know what the problem might be. All that I can say is that development work on MP2 has come to a halt, and no one knows if or when development might restart. Therefore if you want to use MP2, you must use it as it is now, not as you might want it to be in the future.Since 2.5 is out, Windows Defender won't let me install it.
Shouldn't it have been solved by now?
MP1 is a separate product, and is still being developed. It is also the product that I use. If you want to try MP1, you should uninstall MP2 first and then reboot, before installing MP1.Should I have installed something else?
Please can you post a screenshot of the message you get when trying to install 2.5.Since 2.5 is out, Windows Defender won't let me install it.
Oh... one would have expected the other way. Why that one? Just curious.development work on MP2 has come to a halt
This pops up any time you try to install an app that windows doesn't recognize. If it was a virus it would say it was a virus,
Well MP2 is certainly not a virus and I get the same also with MP 1. If you click on the "More Info" in that screen it should bring up another screen with the option to install anyway, click on that, see screenshot below and you should be all good. This pops up any time you try to install an app that windows doesn't recognize. At some point in the past, the MP development team had a difference of opinion with regard to the way that the product should evolve, and so (like Open Office and Libre Office) the development team split into two groups, with developers choosing to work on one product or the other, but not both.Oh... one would have expected the other way. Why that one? Just curious.
