I have configured VLC as an external player inside MP, if I use My TV Series to watch a programme, it opens the file at the original size and not stretched to full screen, I have to press F9 and select Stretch each time I watch a programme.

    Hi.

Now i got it working for all content. Except, following stream.
I don't know how it is handled from mp to vlc plugin, but if open it in vlc->open network location
it works okay. Or in command line c:\Program Files\VideoLan\VLC\vlc "http://www.anywheretv.fi:1262/stream.flv"
it works. But As its a stream if you paste it into Browser is starts to download file and writing it to file. Because it is a stream file never ends, and browser is stucked. From the symptoms it looks like MP is doing same thing. Ie it first tries to download file, but because it's a istream, it never goes to playing part, instead it downloads forever.

So VLC is able to play this stream, but so far i have not found a solution to make it work in MP.

This stream should work outside finland too. You can try it

    regards,

    Hi te3hpurp,

where didi you try to play this stream ? Importent is to set in the vlcplugin the protocol "http" (extensions)
Then all files starting with "http" will be played with the vlc plugin.

I use the player for almost everything except mms streams, because of the drm f* thing.
It works fine on my upnp plugins and on other plugins also playing a lot of flvs from the Inet.

So check the settings for the vlc plugin and maybe give us more information on how you want to play this stream. Also a log from the mp would be helpful too.

    Regards

    hi.

Yes i have http protocol checked. Still no luck.
This stream address is put into "stream.vlc" text file, And in video extensions .vlc extension is added.
Did you try this stream ?

    regards,

I understand.... Right now there is now extension "vlc" in the plugin. We need make the extension selection more flexible. ( next version )

    Here is a work arround:

Add ".gary" in the video extensions
activate ".gary" in the vlc plugin

put your link into a text file name it like "stream.vlc.gary"
and the same file as "stream.vlc" in the same directory

This should work. But anyway in Germany I cannot see the stream even not in plain vlc.

another way would be to put the link into a textfile and save it as .m3u

Here is my testfile, it works for sure...

    so my link is
    h**p://www.kleiner-schelm.de/downloads/south.flv
