I go back to 11.4 and pixelization are gone

CONFIRMED - i have a Radeon HD4550 i had very bad pixelation (a blip every 5-10 seconds) on BBC HD and BBC ONE HD *since they switched to DVB-S2 format earlier this month* (picture quality was perfect before this). Both CCC 11.5 and CCC 11.6 with associated drivers exhibit the problem on my system (11.6 only released a couple of days ago). Today i wiped off all traces of ATI drivers / s/w from my system and installed CCC 11.4 (downloaded from ATI 'previous releases' section) - now all my HD channels are perfect with no pixelation whatsoever (this includes C4 HD which is transmitted at full 1920x1080 res.). I use PDVD8 codecs by the way.

Do they (ATI) know that the pixelation is back with their new drivers? Maybe someone should tell them! =)

Going back to 11.4 solved the same issue for me as well.

Does anybody of you checked already the 11.6b version? There is a hotfix for 11.6 and I read in an other thread that this should solve some problems.

11.4 and BBC HD is fine with Microsofts codec and all others.


Sometimes I wonder : Why change a well running system, the latest and greatest isn't that good all !

Does anybody of you checked already the 11.6b version? There is a hotfix for 11.6 and I read in an other thread that this should solve some problems.

I experimented the pixelation with 11.6 ati drivers (4550 card), in a spanish channel, but now with 11.7 it works without pixelation.

Fixed in BBC HD channels as well with catalyst 11.7
