Thanks, that's good to know. I guess, I'll live with my issues then...

HTPC have been around for years now, it's a shame that they still cannot get it right... (same goes for Intel and Nvidia...)

    Just a question.

I dont have this problem with my HD5670, but is this pixelation/corruption problem still present? It has been 3/4 months since the last post here. 3 new drivers of ATI further. So Im thinking something might have changed there or on the codec side. Supported by the lack of 'negative' feedback usuallly means something positive happened... (Hope so here)

BBC HD is going to be transmitted starting from next month by my provider, so I cant check myself at the moment. :)

    Thanks for any feedback.

    Hi there,

I switched from a 5450 and 10.2 a while ago (now running a 5670 with the latest ATI drivers) - Things are definately better now - although I do get very slight artifacts at times around moving items (but its definately better than before) :)

    J.

Here problem is fixed. I only have it for one or two seconds after channel switch.
As I did not change hardware it must be one of the latest Catalyst versions or a Microsoft update which fixed the problem.

    Cheers.

AW: WARNING: pixelation/corruption on h264 channels.

it's fixed by cat. the pixelation after cannel change is a ms-dtv codec problem.

Geeez.. LOL.. figures.. No more news about this for months now... Proves once again, no news is good news :) LOL

THanks for the input on this guys. Maybe a good idea for Gibman to change the firstpost accordingly. Fixed since cat 10.12.
Otherwise some people (dont) buy stuff for the wrong reasons.

it's fixed by cat. the pixelation after cannel change is a ms-dtv codec problem.

Which is present only on ATI HW.

Might be right but it also doesn't happen with DivX h.264 codec or PowerDVD 10 h.264 codec. Sadly these both have bad discontinue behaviour ;-) But i can live with the short jump forward jump backward thing after channel change it's only for 1-2s.
