It seems I now got dxva working within MP using pdvd10 codec.

so far so good. no pixelation and nice low cpu usage.

I've been getting stutter on my BBC HD, I installed CCC 10.5 (ATI 4550) and it still happens, tried codecs PDVD9 (which always worked fine till this week), MS DTV/DVD with no joy. ITV HD is fine btw - Not very happy as just happens as the world cup starts! Help!

BBC HD has recently changed from a fixed bit rate to a variable one, has caused a few people problems. OK here on nVidia though... :sorry:

Of cource, you can do it manually and fight with problems nailing a lot of time...
...or simply install already fully working solution (SAF).

Can we say that this has been resolved then?

Thinking about buying a HD5550 or a HD5570 to take advantage of the good post processing. I don't have any problems with pixelation with the HD channels here in Norway at the moment, but I want to make sure that I don't encounter any problems if they decide to change something in the terrestrial network here.

I still experience stuttering issues with PDVD10 and BBC HD (using latest SAF5 with ATI 5450)

Stuttering could be caused by so many things, but the corruption issue seems to only apply to the AMD decoding.

Hi everyone,

Are the corruption/pixelation issue fixed with ATI HD5450 ?

I'm looking to add such a card to my setup because I have some issues with the iGPU of my Core i3 solution (basically poor deinterlacing with PAL content and no 23/59Hz support...).

Am I going to benefit from switching to an ATI card or am I just going to have some other issues ?
