Have you considerd to add the "Mouseless Browsing" addon to it ?
...looks interesting, maybe i will create a new input mode (e.g. number mode) additional to keyboard mode and mouse mode in the next version...

It may be that the answer to my problem is in this forum but can someone point me in the right direction....
When running firefox via MP it works fine other than certain keyboard characters not being displayed as I type eg r. y,p etc and some do things that I know are about mapping functions such as mouse mode and returning to the home menu. All I want to do is to type into the browser so is there any way of simply turning off MP key actions when I am browsing?

Thanks for any advice

This plug will give you keyboard and mouse functionality trough your remote inside and out MP: MEDIAPORTAL - free media center - RemoteKC for MCE-Remote

This is nearly the same what FirefoxIntegrator does :p
But i think he is looking for something other...

@dthomson39:
If you only want to start Firefox out of MP and nothing else try one of these:
My Program Plugin
or
MultiShortcut Plugin

    ...maybe in your MediaPortal configuration the option "Keep MediaPortal always on top" is selected?
    If yes, disable it!
    I have not tried any new SVN versions with MP 1.0 so it could be that there is something different, but i don't think so...

    Is the source code for this project available somewhere?
    Or is it close source?

    EDIT: Sorry! Now i have seen that the sources are in the zip file.
    But may be the sources could be put under version control.

    Can you tell a little bit about AutoHotKey?
    How is the script launched?
    Or is it compiled?
    How could i change the script and create a new plugin version?

    The plugin doesn't work on my installation.
    I run Windows Vista and MediaPortal 1.0.1.
    If i start FirefoxIntegrator.exe from Explorer it starts Firefox in fullsreen like it should be.
    But if i select the Webbrowser item from MediaPortal nothing happens.
    And the option that MediaPortal should stay always on top is off.
    Is there a possibility to turn on logs to find out what the problem is?

    ...no, there are no logs.
    This looks like that something is wrong with the "Multishortcut" configuration;
    maybe you did not enter the correct path of the exe (full path!)?
