WebEPG log in should be in your TV server log files, TVService.log. One a win7/8 system this should be in the following folder.
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log
if you are using setuptv.exe to setup/test WebEPG, you might also check TVService.log files. Have not done battle with WebEPG for a while, can't remember if WebEPG log info also shows up in this file.

I always have DVB subtitles enabled in "MP Config", but I actually switch on subtitles only for those films that have deafening sound effects and music, combined with inaudible dialogue. I have never noticed the problem that you have described, but I also use the EVR renderer, and not the Madvr renderer. So...

Now that MediaPortal has gone 64-bit, any references to lParam should be converted to int64 rather than int32 or compared to zero...
The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.
It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.
