Regarding TV recordings automatic wake-up and shutdown is supported using the PowerScheduler plugin.
The PVRScheduler plugin has much more features (like tvtv, tvinfo, clickfinder support) ......

You can find it here: http://www.pvr-scheduler.de/

More bells and whistles after configuration, stability&s

Ok after configuration is made so an average joe can use and stability is close to rock solid and finally speed is better than Meedio and MCE.

THEN how about looking at allowing some animations? Take a look at:
    http://www.outerspace-software.com/examples.html

Having 3D text and maybe a spaceship fly by as the new screen appears could be considered cool by some people. OK, ok, the spaceship is really out there.

This is a lot more work than it sounds like for one very big reason ... no BDA driver for this card. I contacted Hauppauge about this some time ago and they responded that it would never have a BDA driver due to hardware incompatabilities. Without a BDA driver, native (i.e. at the driver level) support would have to be added as a special case in MP. I have one of these cards and as much as I would love to see it supported in MP, I don't think it is worth the work required.

Any chance of a client/server setup being implemented in MediaPortal?

    1. EPG data captured from DVB-SI automatically
    2. DVB + Teletext subtitles
    3. free positioning (random access) in DVDs and other recorded movies e.g. with a slider

I really like MP. Thanks a lot.
The only thing I don't like in latest relaese is that I have to open the configuration dialog to capture the DVB-SI data manually.

    3. it's already available (2nd button from right in osd if I can remember) but it is too small in my opinion, if it could be bigger it would allow better positioning.....

    Top 3

    My top 3:
1.) Make MP faster, i.e. when you watch a video the overlay controls are slow
    2.) Support Technisat Airstar2
3.) Integrate Config in the MP GUI and let user change it without restarting MP

    Re: Top 3

    1) Better Installation Setup ...ie. follow through codecs / renderers. etc in all "My Videos/TV/DVD"

    2) *More* Skype Support ;)

    3) Individual file type rendering setups...ie. dont let directX render file, instead select codecs/demuxer/hardware for .AVI, for .MOV, for .MPG, for etc etc etc...

Try switching the renderer from Overlay to VMR9 Renderless.....
note: u must have a good graphics card..ie one that supports VMR9..ideally a DirectX9 graphics card
