    Lets see.
TVServer box: Intel Quad core, with a couple of DVB-S2 tuners with CI slots for S2 and subscription channels and a couple of 6-in-1 DVB-T/S cards for everything else.

Clinets: Black Silverstone LC19 case, Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H motherboard, AMD AM2 4400+ (or similar), 2GB RAM. Booting from Comact flash (already built one of these, but with a laptop hard drive instead of the CF).

Storage: Multiple Thecus N5200s populated with 1TB drives 'stacked' together to create one massive network disk. (got one, may need another soon)

Display: Panasonic Viera TH50PZ70B 50" plasma in the living room and Dell 24" monitors in other rooms (or a smaller variant for smaller rooms)

All wired through a layer 3 Cisco gigabit switch for full network management.

Yeah pretty much. That was all just off the top of my head too. I'm sure you could work out an even more exotic system if you really thought about it :)

I have pretty much built mine! :)

I have 2 almost identical clients.

    Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H motherboard
    4 gigs of RAM
    80 gig 2.5" SATA drive
AMD X2 4050e CPU in one, AMD X2 BE2350 in the other
    MCE Remote Control
    Hiper Media Case
    Windows Vista Ultimate

My server is in a 4u rack mounted case.

    Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3
    2 gigs of RAM
    320GB IDE Boot drive
160GB IDE Download drive (torrents & nzb)
    500GB SATA Recordings drive
    500GB SATA Media drive
    1TB SATA Movies drive
    2 x Hauppauge Nova-T
    2 x Hauppauge Nova-T 500

Future plans for server are to replace the 2 Nova-Ts with another Nova-T 500 and get a DVB-S2 card. Also to get another big hard drive in there.

Also planned is a touchscreen kitchen PC :D

I would have to know more details, and ultimately, I'll have to test it when I get my new display, but an AI answer I got (I don't trust AI and this may not be correct) was that HDR is encoded with the HEVC codec and I know MePo uses the HEVC codec to play 4K UHD Blue-ray discs. So, there is at least the possibility that it will work...

The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release. It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases. -- from CyberSimian in the UK

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...
