First test :
disable DD CI module completely : in device manager, disconnect from octopus, disabled in DD config tool not assigned to any tuner, only 1 tuner enabled in MP, no CAM enabled.

When I do a full channel scan, still a number of channels are missing.
The succesful channel scan I reported earlier was on my desktop, with the TBS tunercard without a CAM or even a softCAM.
In that scan, all my channels are there.

On my TV server with the DD tuner card :
I selected one of the encrypted channels of my provider that was found and tried to do a preview, but then I got the error "channel not mapped to any card".

I added the logs in attachment...the TS writer log is too large to add, due to the channel scan.

I notice you're using 1.2.0b. We made some changes to how channels are detected and it is entirely possible that some of your channels are missing... which would be a bug. Are there any particular ones that you've noticed?

Does the desktop have 1.2.0a or earlier, because that could explain the differences. Also, if you don't delete the channels then they should continue to be updated... just not added if you delete them.

I selected one of the encrypted channels of my provider that was found and tried to do a preview, but then I got the error "channel not mapped to any card".
I think that can happen if you haven't set up the CAM in TV Server config for the tuner(s) the channel is mapped to.

I don't have my channel list of TV Vlaanderen with me to give you the details of them, but the channels I looked for were for instance "Acht" and "Een", "Een HD", "Ketnet/Canvas".

On the desktop, indeed, I used 1.1.3, I forgot to mention that, you're right, sorry.

I moved to 1.2.0 on the TV server because of the "Nothing found" messages when doing a channel scan with the CI module enabled, enven in the patched version of 1.1.3.
This brings us now to channel scan problems in 1.2.0 without CI module enabled.

P.S. I added the channel list in attachment
P.S.2 : I don't knwo if you can see this in the logs, but my diseqc settings are as follows :

    LNB1 : Astra 28.2, diseqc port BA
LNB2 : Astra 23.5 port AA (not sure, I'm not at home right now)
    LNB3 : Astra 19.2 port BB

    Hi again Phaedra

I've had a thorough look at your logs and I can see a handful that *might* be real channels that have been ignored. However, they look like they were Sky (BSkyB) channels. It would *really* help if you could give a specific example of a missing TV Vlaanderen channel...

The cahnnels I mentioned in my previous post are missing from the channel list :

    "Een HD", "Ketnet/Canvas HD" : both on Astra 23.5 12187 H 27500 5/7
    "Vitaya", "Acht" : both on Astra 19.2 12721 H 22000 5/6

    Amongst others....

Ahhhh, no wonder. Scanning of those frequencies is not in your latest log file, and the earlier log file is also not suitable (no lock on 12721 and no scan of 12187). I'd need new logs showing scanning of either or both of those frequencies to do anything about this problem...

    ????
I just configured the diseqc settings for the 2 satellites and did a full channel scan....

    Edit :
I just started an update of the satellite list and a new channel scan. Let's see if that changes anything...
If not, I will do a manual scan for those frequencies to see what happens.

    Update :
I did what I described above.
The channel scan apparently added a few new channels, but not the ones I targeted.
Some of my providers channels are there, but most of them stil missing.
From what I see, at least most of them are in my channel list on the other PC with version 1.1.3 installed and the TBS card.
I tried a manual scan on the transponders mentioned above, results are at the end of the logfile.

The (more succesful) channel scan I performed on the other PC with the same dish alignment as this scan.

According to your logs there was no lock on either of the transponders that you mentioned. Without lock the channels can't be added...

    This is peculiar.
I just connected the same coax to the other PC again (MP 1.1.3 and the TBS card), and there I have no rpoblem locking on the 23.5 12187 H transponder...

So, as far as I dare to conclude, it is not a dish alignment problem ?
