Why do I have Trakt installed? (1 Viewer)

What's Trakt? Installing MP-TVSeries has also installed this. Why and how do I get rid of it?

Simply uninstall it same way as any other plugin.
If you had read what's on the screen during installation of TVSeries you could have avoid trakt plugin from being installed at all.

Uninstalled. Still learning my way round the multitude of different configuration screens and options.

It's a bit tricky seeing the small text when you're sat 10 foot away. I'll know for next time.

Keep in mind that eventhough MP-TVSeries installed the Trakt MPEI plugin, it does not magically enable it without your permission. So it will just sit there dorment until you activate it with your Trakt.tv account.

If you indeed have no intention to connect your collection to the public cloud or private cloud, then yes simply uninstall it to clean up the clutter.

Only if you check the box during install. Same goes for the skinfiles.

trakt it a great plugin, very useful to store your watched status online, so if you have multiple htpcs, or if you reinstall MP you never loose that history.

Death squads will be dispatched upon uninstalling or disabling, you will also receive phone calls from Indian call centers until you register and enable tvseries and your movie plugin of choice.

In all seriousness, trakt is so much more than a scrobbling/syncing plugin, it basically brings the whole website to your HTPC via MediaPortal. There is literally too many things to note but to experience it's awesomeness in full it's recommended you signup and enable respective plugins in the trakt's configuration. IMO (maybe a little biased here), its the best plugin out of all the mediacenters that use the trakt.tv API.
