Win10 falls creators update problems watching videos (4 Viewers)

With respect to my last post, in retrospect I think I should have tried a DDU clean uninstall/reinstall of the video driver after the CFU update, may have missed a trick there, but with my HTPC WAF has to be taken into consideration.
Anyway I will now hold off any further tryouts of 1709 on my HTPC pending anything new from MS next Tuesday and/or new video drivers and feedback from Cyberlink on the PowerDVD 15 3D problem.

Unfortunately it consumes way more CPU/GPU. I will test it a while.

Yes it does a super job but to get the best out of it, it does need a lot of GPU.

This update fixed 2 major issues I was having with FCU:

- Amibox performance, it was using up to 50% GPU with several spikes. It's now back using about 5-10% of a 960GTX
- CUVID hardware acceleration was broken for HVEC+HDR (for me), now fixed

That was a happy moment, I was trying to put up with non CUVID deinterlace, and I couldn't! I don't know how you guys put up with it.

Negative, same performance issues as before. Need to revert the Fall Creators Update a second time

I have 1709 installed and have no problems with FSE, DRR and madVR, but I have no 3D in my config.
All videos, also with HDR plays fine in my case, refresh rate correctly changing and goes back, no RDP issues.
Config: Win 10 1709, 1050ti -> Sony Bravia 9005 4k HDR
Lav and madvr are in DXVA mode, refresh rate in MP is disabled, default display resolution is 2160p50.

Also i have disabled Windows gamemode in registry - it may affects to fullscreen applications.
